I have not read this thread. I have waiting to watch this show until all of the episodes dropped.
Is this show worth watching? Is it entertaining? Fun?
Where would you rank it among the other Star Wars series?
If you just go into the show blind you'll probably enjoy it.

So I don’t disagree necessarily but let me try to explain.
-Kenobi is the most damaging to canon and legacy characters by far. The story narrative is trash and Reva or whatever is a terribly constructed character but the latter two critiques are pretty universal with all their shows.
-Ashoka is also damaging but not as much. The story gets lost and convoluted towards the end and like others the new characters introduced are awfully written.
With The Acolyte it’s kind of got all the problems of the other two but to a lesser degree I guess but it’s also the worst story by far. From the writing, to the character motivations, logistics, the story continuity, the moral constructs of the story don’t exist. It’s basically a story that shows you one thing and tells you the complete opposite. It’s practically an anti Star Wars show. That’s why I’d consider it the worst.

It’s a C
There are some cringy parts, and there are some awesome fight scenes.
First 3 episodes are an D- F and the last 5 are a B+.
Episode 5 is a 30 minute lightsaber fight and it’s awesome.

In what way?

Who are the new characters to you?
I thought Ahsoka was great, but I also watched all of Clone Wars and Rebels. If you dind't watch those animated shows, Ahsoka might not have been your cup of tea, as it was essentially just a continuation of Rebels. I cannot wait to see season 2 of it.

Hyperspace travel and injecting Ashoka into PT events she played no part in. Shin is another in a line or Mary Sue force users Disney continues to fumble with creating, ruining force capable characters and for the buildup of Thrawn what we got was a hilariously bad joke. The guy celebrates failures like nobody this side of Sammy. Are we supposed to fear and respect this clown? Really?

You're going to need to be a lot more specific here.

You don't even know who the hell she is or where she came from, and what did she do that was so awesome as a force user? She's a rather mysterious force user at this time, so calling her a Mary Sue makes absolutely no sense.

There are plenty that didn't like what they saw from Thrawn, and i get that, but I think you'll see more of what is expected from him in season 2. He's always 5 steps ahead, and i think he is with the viewers as well right now, which is why people are complaining about certain things with him that after next season will likely make sense.

It makes sense if you are looking for "Wokeness" to bitch about in everything you see in the world.
When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

No, and if you’re denying that Disney has constantly taken untrained or begginer level “force sensitive” characters and just given them innate, master level and beyond powers then you’re just being dishonest.

Ok I’ll play, you’re a pedophile by your own logic.

that’s happened but it hasn’t happened in this show.

So you’re admitting you can’t justify your allegations. Thanks, that’s the first honest thing you’ve done here.

Lenovo is the worst Star Wars series. It was utterly pointless and having another fight between Vader and Kenobi diminishes the whole thing.
Boba Fett sucked.
Ashoka was fine.
I feel like there is no vision of what they want to do and they are just throwing shite at a wall. I liken it more to dcu and what a mess that was instead of how cohesive the first phases of marvel were.

no I can.
you cannot.
you are upset that a show was made by black and gay people. The show itself doesn’t get into any real world race politics, none of the characters are openly gay and you’re upset it’s “woke” It doesn’t portray white oeople as evil or wrong or the problem.
If the only thing “woke” about it is the casting then you’re clearly just upset to see black people.
There is clear logic.
There is no comparison you can actually make to support your allegation.

That’s the thing, they’re either too inept or too scared to develop their own characters. Everything has to be injected into established stories mostly retconning them and cutting in line to give the new characters unearned importance. Why do you think Mando started out so strong and Andor received such praise, because they can stand on their own and can open new veins within the universe.
