Force off
And now that after all these years we are finally getting new star wars shows/movies/rides you'd rather be upset about them than enjoy them.
Without Disney buying it I would have never got to get drunk in a Cantina like one from the movies, or walk through a life size millennium falcon.
I still enjoy the star wars universe, a lot of the Disney content is better than the prequel trilogy (which I still enjoyed).
It's weird how some people would rather have nothing at all if they can't have star wars exactly how THEY want it.

Such a corrosive and dishonest statement

I didnt say anything about hotels. I also would've never paid to stay in one
The star wars area in the park is awesome. I haven't seen anyone say otherwise.

We would rather have it how the creator of the entire thing would want it, because apparently he doesn't want this shite either.
quote:
“I was the one one who really knew what Star Wars was…who actually knew this world, because there’s a lot to it. The Force, for example, nobody understood the Force,” he said. “When they started other ones after I sold the company, a lot of the ideas that were in [the original] sort of got lost. But that’s the way it is. You give it up, you give it up.”

The Star Wars rides/area in Hollywood Studios is awesome! I've been twice.
Also the Mandolorian, Rogue One, Solo, and Andor are all great. I don't know where you are getting the idea that every Disney Star Wars creation is and has been a failure.

Comparing the hotel to the rest of Star Wars is pretty dumb. They way overcharged for that crap, simple as that.

eh, he created 3 awesome movies and a cool world but he also created MidiChlorian literally went back in and changed the OT, and made 3 shitty prequels.
I think you can respect what Lucas did while also acknowledging he was not perfect.

I never said he was perfect.
It was still his vision and he explicitly states they don't understand it

they should have made an insane immersive star wars cruise ship. so there is a reason to never leave vs a hotel at WDW.

Exactly, it’s a fricking layup/money printing IP. All you have to do is tell solid stories within the context of the SW universe. Instead we’ve had talentless hacks pushing politics, deconstructing the SW universe or self insert garbage. It’s not just the fact that everything they’ve put out minus a couple shows has been absolute trash, it’s also turning away from the incredible potential we should’ve gotten.

Disney Star Wars IS a disaster.
That's not even up for debate.
From Galaxy's Edge, The Force is Female, Galactic Starcruiser, Oba-Wan, Acolyte, the sequels (space horsies on the star destroyer), etc...
So yes, I WOULD rather nothing have been done than this pile of hot garbage posing as Star Wars.
At least the franchise would have its dignity intact.

Thank you, George, for brining us Star Wars, but I have no desire for the Lucas movies again. Or any of the latest ones aside from Rogue One.
Get good writers. For all the complaining about who they cast and what the characters are, the bottom line, IMO, is the writing for most Star Wars IP now is just basic, mid at best. It's boring and leads to boring shallow characters. Get a good script and go from there. It's all I'm asking. Stop worrying about how many weird aliens you can fit in.

this episode served no point at all
they could have addressed this episode going back to episode 3
meanwhile Qimir was nowhere to be found
let's hope they kill off everyone in episode 8 to put this show out of it's misery

Yeah imagine if Lucas would've held onto Star Wars another 35 years how many more live action shows we would have gotten

Another vapid, unprovable and meaningless post from you

Star Wars has never realized it's full potential. It's for kids, and always has been. The Mandalorian, at least at the beginning, pushed the envelope on what it could be, and of course Andor completely took the series to brand new places and nailed it.
You can still do your kiddy "we want to sell toys" Star Wars, just don't tease us with really good stuff and then hit us in the face with this crap.
