But, as others (Vox with good post) have said, pretty decent episode.
- I also wish Ted and Linda Bagel reconciled - they see each other more now and the BELIEVE sign was great.
- Jamie and Roy doing Jump Around! was absolute greatness!!
- Also, Jamie with Rebecca when Matthijs shows up, I thought was decent.
- Alice getting upset at the end, sets up an interesting opportunity.

Alice is easily the most complex character of the season, but then again other than Zelda, she's really one of the only new characters. (Yes, I get it that there's a dozen named players on the team. Almost all of them are forgettable). She just gives the impression that she's not happy unless she's miserable. I imagine some of that is just psych 101 level explanation that she is abrasive in order to push people away because she's scared of getting hurt.
I don't get the impression that Zelda is going to take a heel turn like some suspected, unless it is some sort of massive twist to end the season.
I would have loved to have seen Keeley be a little more competent and grounded in her handling of the marketing of the Richmond ladies team. Unfortunately, despite the fact that she's well in her 30s, she still acts like a mentally challenged middle school girl headed to a Spice Girls concert.
It would have been refreshing to see her come into her own, and give Rebecca a run for her money when it comes to managing a soccer club - even if it is smaller stakes.

She was a cutie, for sure. I wonder if as a response, Beard is going to shave his signature facial feature in an effort to look younger.

Had to pause and ask the fiance if I read that wrong because I thought she was absolutely giving off flirty/kiss me vibes.
Otherwise good episode. Tracy Ullman had to be ad libbing that whole episode.

I would agree with this. We have seen every major character have to grow and embrace a new attitude or point of view, and they have been great character arcs. Keeley on the other hand does not appear to have that same struggle/growth arc that they have. Her business failed and Rebecca bailed her out, and then when she pushes Roy to go on dates and learn about himself, she doesn’t take the opportunity to do the same and try to grow herself. It’s a little frustrating, but is something that is noticeable.

I agreed... untli E5, in which Roy becomes possibly the most hilarious part of the episode. We need more doped up Roy
And yes.. the Jump Around scene (with Keeley saying, "Boys just love a song that tells them what to do") along with the "Wassup!!" reminded me so much of the 50 year old jock/frat bros I know getting turnt at wedding receptions (one of my wife's brothers specifically).

The writing is putrid
It feels like Sudekis agreed to come back if he only had to worry about the script for his own character
S4 spent so much time on this Jamie Tartt maturation arc, which I enjoyed.. now this season he's right back to being a insufferable -- albeit nicer -- moron.

I've enjoyed this season more than last. I honestly thought this season was going to be a dumpster fire, but I'm pleasantly surprised.
Alice is a good character addition. Ted is always entertaining. Beard...he's always been hit or miss with me. Personally, I find his weird nerd / jock schtick to be annoying, but it works sometimes. Roy is good, but can be a little too Roy at times. Jamie coming back was fun. Zelda has actually been an ok addition.
But the players this season? They are mostly boring / annoying / forgettable.

In a weird way, I'm ok with that.
Other than Alice, who is a great addition, the rest of the focus is on the established characters whereas the new players aren't really characters themselves, moreso a vehicle to tell stories for the established characters.
