Actually, no. The women didn't technically cheat, since the AFC player only gave the player on the other quiz team words of encouragement. But the whole point of that was to send the message "of course these men think these women could only beat men if they cheated."

I've seen every season of Ted Lasso. People are allowed to criticize it. On the other hand, I'm not going to criticize you for liking the show either.
I also saw the Odyssey. It was not great. That's fine though if other people like it.
Episode 4 of Ted Lasso was just a dud. Nothing really happened. The cliches were not very believable. Maybe it's a thing in women's pro soccer...cliches based on field positions? If it is, that's news to me. What would have been more believable is to have a few senior players that have a power dynamic and force the team to agree with them like a Rapinoe type person.

Cliques based on field position can actually happen, especially if the defense is leaking goals or offense isnt scoring. Probably moreso if you add women into the equation

I seriously doubt many people do that at all.
From what I've seen very, very few people actively want political messaging in their entertainment. Some of the most....sensitive people on this forum admitted they didn't like Lantern episode 4 and that the producers made a mistake.
The main difference is the level of that stuff people can handle before it affects the entertainment value of the show. Nobody's sitting around thinking "Man, I bet I'll really enjoy that show but I'm not going to watch it to make a statement." They're thinking "I was excited about this show but they fricked it up with politics so now it's not enjoyable."
The only thing they're missing out on is a show they don't find entertaining. That's a strange thing to feel sorry for someone over.

Forgot about that part. It seemed more like a joke to me.
But again, why does it matter if they are gay? That makes it even more unbelievable that a group of gay dudes who play trivia together are huge sexists that openly antagonize a pro women’s soccer team at trivia night.

I don't think I've enjoyed a mindless scene of TV more than the Jump Around scene.
Also, I really like how they are handling Alice. Ol' girl can't get out of her own way or past her own neurosis, very human.

The dynamic between Jamie and Roy is one of the best things about Ted Lasso. So glad Jamie was back for this one.
I may be in the minority, but I really wish Ted & Michelle would be able to reconcile and get back together. She keeps him grounded in all the best ways.
It was nice to get a little backstory on where the "Believe" sign came from, and it's really cool to discover that that was Michelle's influence on him.
They were super in your face with the "Impossibly Rich People Have Weird Predilections" tropes for the yacht party.
Alice indeed can't get out of her own way. When it it confirmed that she and Gemma had a relationship back in the day? They said everything but that, explicitly.
Keely embodies the need to hear ALL THE THINGS when you overhear something that you didn't want to hear in the first place. Never leave before it's over.

I'd say very, very few people want political messaging in entertainment that they disagree with. And for me that is a significantly different than just not wanting political messaging.

No doubt those people exist, but good products without that stuff are wildly successful. Nobody avoided Maverick because it didn't have a political message they wanted to see.

I agree with your point here, but there are those who would make a point to go see a movie with political messaging they agree with - no doubt about that.

There's zero doubt and this forum proves it on a regular basis. I just think they're on the skinny end of the bell curve. People here who can from memory rattle off what Obsession made domestically in its second weekend aren't the average consumer.
