My problem with this season is my problem in general with streaming television these days.
10 episodes is simply not enough to properly convey multiple storylines, especially when you don't know if you're getting another season, so it forces the writers to rush through and neatly tie things up as much as they can.
That episode just felt like it was trying to bring closure to everything and there just wasn't enough time to do it over the course of the 50 minutes allotted for the episode.

Still. After 6 years. She's the exact same person as when the show started, probably worse. The assistant coach got more development in a single season.

Zelda was fricking annoying. i didn't find her entertaining in the slightest.
her storyline and Mae's ownership was telegraphed
i watched, it was ok. didn't have the same spirit.

Yep. Alice was objectively awful at first and they had her morph into a decent human being by the close of this chapter.
The cameos of the men's team for Richmond attending the final women's game was nice.
MacAdoo doing Beard's haircut was amusing, too.
This may be the first time Nate has been in an episode where I didn't actively hate him. The Diamond Dogs (Cat People) reunion was long overdue and my favorite part of the finale.

weakest season by far. writing was lazy at points just didn't have the same heart as before. i would be OK if they ended it for good. i thought Ted was having female coach promoted to HC and he was going back to men's team.

Mae’s wasn’t even telegraphed. They showed here with a 7 inch thick stack of shares at the end of Season 3. It was just a known quantity.

he wants more time with Henry
I hoped he go to the men’s team but I douvbted they would write off the women’s team that easy.
The problem i’m having with the last 2 seasons is that Ted Lasso has done very little Ted Lassoing.

same. i thought he was applying to take the mens team back.

i get Ted wanting to spend more time with Henry just not sure where a Ted Lasso show with Less Ted goes especially since Roy is gone. Would be cool if Henry took the Nate route and started to show signs of being an actual good soccer coach that would get Ted and Henry to spend more time together.
the heart of the show was with the players and what they were going through and how Ted's lessons whether intentional or unintentional helped them.
all we got this year was sticky notes on a makeshift believe sign.
ever since Bill Lawrence left it feels like the heart left also.

I thought this season was a dud. Roy provided the only consistent comedy, and best part of the whole season was the 5 minutes with Jamie Tartt. Only decent new character was the new coach. It wasn’t terrible, just that every part of it was worse than it used to be.

I enjoyed this season, but then again it's because they've created such a great stable of characters that having to have endured 3 years without the main crew felt cruel.

Loved the finale right until the end. Making Ted the assistant for the women is dumb IMO.
I thought we were about to see Alice as the head coach for the men, that would’ve made more sense to me

Not gonna read through the thread due to spoilers, but how is the season? Worth the watch?

If you liked all 3 original seasons it’s worth it. But it is a full step below season 3 (which had some good and bad parts and a clear step down). Not enough Lasso and some misses with new and played out story lines).
Basically it’s a different and lesser show since Bill Lawrence left and the trend is getting worse. Still worth watching if you’re a fan but it’s a rapidly declining series.
