I loved the finale. It was a lot of what I expected, but it left you feeling good. This was a series that left me feeling good most of the time and I loved how they ended it. I really liked the finales to Barry and Sucession, but Ted Lasso put a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. When this show was good it was really good. I’m going to miss it.

Anyone notice the magazine cover at the end that showed Zava going to MLS to play for LAFC because they like avocados in California.
The attention to detail on point as always.

I think this season needed a lot more Ted.
it’s hard to have that emotional payoff when he’s been absent so much of this season.

Absolutely perfect ending to the show

that's the point..it was never about him...
I loved the schmaltz and good endings for all.
My favorite part was a tie between Higgins shielding his wife when McAdoo took the kick and Ted finally knowing the offsides rule.
The only thing I didn't really appreciate was the implication that he was back with Michelle. Also, he definitely would have been at Beard and Jane's wedding.
The pyschic was right right though: "she mentioned that Rebecca would be drenched and upside down but safe." And unlike some on twitter, I think she showed more romantic chemistry with the Flying Dutchman than Ted. I just hope her and Ted remain close friends.
I also like the discussion of nothing makes sense, except that it is just about the money which makes sense....seems oddly familiar at the moment.

Finale was fine.
Predictable as evidenced by a lot of people correctly guessing what happens.
Glad the last few episodes finally got back to the club and away from woke nonsense.
Glad the series is over though, it clearly had run out of ideas judging by 90% of the episodes in the past two seasons

I agree with alot of this post.
So much Deus ex machina in this finale.
I was never sold on the Ted/Rebecca relationship lining up, even though they teased it at the airport. It makes sense that the Dutchman, who is in the same situation as Ted, was the guy. Not mad at it.
Ted would've been at Beards wedding, 100%, so didn't like that.
Sam's ending, okay.
Roy ending up as manager, okay. I did enjoy his last main scene in the therapists office with the toy soldier. Not bad.
I did like how Rebecca sold the 49% to the fans, that last scene with Mae and the 3 guys made me laugh out loud.
Nate is whatever at this point. Jade was a terrific character at first, but turned to shite after Nate got her.
However, there was no real resolution to the Jamie/Roy/Keely shite. It's been one of the biggest plot lines the entire series, and left vague. One of the last scenes with the whole group together and Keely had Roy's niece on her lap while sitting next to both Roy and Jamie, then Rebecca showed up with the Dutchman, really bothered me. I guess that's the spinoff material right there.
Oh, and my biggest gripe is the implication that Ted ended up back with Michelle for Henry. frick that.

That was great. I was not expecting a callback to this:

Was a red herring the whole show - ok with it too but not the most satisfying.

Spinoff for sure. Also the girl power theme where she doesn't need to be subject to those two idiots fighting over here and caving to their demands.

I think they left it up to the interpretation but yeah, screw that idea.

I have mixed feelings on this finale. There were a lot of moments I really liked and it was clearly a series finale (even if apple hasn't officially announced it) but this season handling so many major moments off screen was just a weird choice. We should've seen Nate quit and Ruperts reaction, we should've seen the team vote to bring Nate back and we should've seen Ted tell Rebecca and the team (and have a press conference) that he was going home. Ted definitely would have been at Beards wedding. Why was Nate brought back as the assistant kit man, I get that it was his penance for his actions but seriously he was the coach for a team that was in contention for most of the season.
Also, I don't have the Michelle hate some of y'all do. She wasn't my fav character or anything but I don't recall her being a terrible person. Hasn't the implication been that Ted has been pretty fricked up from his father's death and how his mother handled it? Ted's unrelenting positivity while hiding his true feelings or not being able to deal with someone being sad has to be a drain on his wife, no?

This is what makes me think this series isn't over. Perhaps rebranded as Richmond without Ted Lasso. Apple isn't going to lose out on this moneymaker.

The episodes were already running pretty long. All those scenes, while important, really wouldn’t have added much to the episodes. They weren’t essential.

I love Ted Lasso because you can laugh AND pray all in one episode.

Perhaps the greatest achievement in television history. Not only is Ted Lasso side-splittingly hilarious (seriously, don't drink anything while watching, you'll spit it up!), but it literally makes me a better person by watching it.

my wife has done a ton of reading and everyone has said they’re open to doing the show without Ted.
I think Ted’s story line probably has a lot of notes with Jason’s real life, and I bet filming in England months out of the year is taking its tole in him given how somewhat messy his separation has gotten.

This season was all over the place and messy as frick. Was in desperate need of editing. Too much exposition by the broadcast crew. Too much off-screen development. The first half was wasted with Keeley and Jack bullshite.
The ending was eh. Certainly one of the weaker finales from my recent shows of late.

Fair, and maybe I'm seeing something that is not actually there but I almost feel like he manipulated Michelle and that situation. It was his suggestion that they needed space that led to Ted taking the Richmond job and I'm can't recall but I think Ted was aware that he was coming to England. He wasn't just expecting her and Henry and surprise boyfriend. Also from her pov I think Ted can't handle any sadness and the therapist can being that he's a therapist.

I dont think they’re trying to make her a terrible person, but man does she come across as one.
also Dr. Jacob is definitely a terribly person. frick that guy.
