Oh, you were serious. Lol.
I’ll just say that if we start basing what we watch on the moral character & actions of those responsible for the movies/tv shows our options will become severely limited.
Polanski has made some very entertaining movies over the years, and ultimately that’s all I care about.

More people need to see this show. The writing from Ball is incredible. Michael C Hall broke out because of it. My #2 show of all time behind The Wire.

I rewatched three Guillermo del Toro movies over the last few days:
The Orphanage
The Devil’s Backbone
Pan’s Labyrinth
I like all three of these a lot. The first two have classic ghost story vibes to them.

Netflix
The Dragon Prince- From the head writer of Avatar: The Last Airbender, this animated show is about kingdoms on the verge of war and the journey of two princes and an elf to attempt to stop it. Really becomes great by season 3. Each season is 9 20-minute episodes.
Hulu
Everything's Gonna Be Okay– A neurotic gay man's father dies and he has to take care of his two half-sisters he barely knows, one a 17-year-old autistic girl. The two sisters are some of the best child acting I've seen since at least Stranger Things. 1 season, 10 episodes about 30 minutes each.
Amazon Prime
Undone– A woman is bored of her everyday life and routine, but that changes when she gets in a wreck and begins seeing visions of her dead father (Bob Odenkirk) and gains powers to manipulate time – or is she just crazy? This series uses rotoscope animation)painting over live action filming) and is one of the best series of 2019. Eight 30-minute episodes.

I agree for 99% of the artists/entertainers out there that fit into the scumbag category. Most can be ignored, with two exceptions that cannot be ignored
Woody Allen and Roman Polanski
They sodomized children. Their work should be burned to the fricking ground.

I feel a little shameful for being from Kentucky and not having watched this. It’s on the binge list.

quote:Such a good show. Very odd, but interesting. It took me a couple of episodes to get past the shock of Simone's character, which that kind of ties into the story itself.
Got caught up on Dispatches from Elsewhere yesterday.

I started Peep Show on Hulu and it’s hilarious.

I may have to do the same coming up..
Think Devil's Backbone takes my top pick ( Santi scared the shite out of me for a week when I caught it on late night HBO around the age of 7). But Pan's Labyrinth is right up there, and The Orphanage is great as well.
Wish Del Toro got back to making more films like these

Been working on class work for grad school so not a lot of “TV” today, but if any of you like to work with music in the background the MET Opera On Demand app will have viewings of popular operas every day and they’ll be free to view for 24 hours after their nightly broadcast.

Just started the IFC show Brockmire on Hulu.
Season 4 just premiered on IFC. First episode flashed to 2030, and the TV news was talking about a pandemic spreading and people being put in camps to slow the spread.
