I think I read somewhere that Obi Wan changed how he fought after Maul because he saw how tired Qui Gon got because they fought for so long. Obi Wan became the ultimate defensive machine, conserving his energy while he fought.

Now he was still getting dog arse tired after fighting Anakin, but because Anakin fought so aggressively and savagely Obi Wan was able to last much longer than he normally should have. He basically let Anakin tire himself out. Anakin was a bit of an imbecile tbh. If he hadn’t turned, and gotten into his mid 30’s-early40’s he would have gained knowledge and wisdom and more control. He would have been unbeatable

Or if he was actually trained better. I agree, his strategy in that fight definitely wasn't great, but frankly he was a mental mess by that point. He was always impulsive though. He and Obi Wan both saw that long, drawn out fights weren't the way to go. They just had complete opposite ways to try and make sure that didn't happen, one very offensive and the other very defensive.

With the force yes. But Obi Wan was a jack of all trades and a master tactician. So the real question is.... Was there anyone that Obi Wan could not beat? Because we know he let Darth kill him to set luke on his path.

I agree with almost everything you said, especially regarding Obi Wan’s fighting style.

One thing though...I don’t think Anakin had tired himself out. I think he could have kept going at a high rate for a long time.

I don't know, his legs were gone towards the end.

Agree. He still had plenty left, he just made a stupid decision. Obi Wan was counting on that happening and knew when to make his strike. I mean that jump he made back up the lavafall was insane.

Yep. He fared better in their first fight. The second fight in RotS Dooku pretty much kicked his arse and Anakin kicked Dooku's.

It was Obi Wan’s intelligence and strategy that led to his victory over Anakin. Only Anakin’s impulsiveness and ego led to his defeat. Obi Wan could not have lasted much longer in the fight.

What say you?

Anakin never defeated Obi Wan but I highly doubt Obi Wan would have been powerful enough to destroy the emperor.

Darth never killed Obi Wan

What if Obi Wan was using the same telekinetic beaming effect Luke uses in TLJ? Obi Wan could still be alive somewhere...Could be a nice twist to the new trilogy

Obi-Wan was "defeated" quickly in his second bout with Dooku because of Sidious. Right before Kenobi was force pushed by Dooku, Sidious is shown making a barely audible odd noise. This was a dark side power used to lower Obi-Wan's force defenses.

Sidious, Yoda, and Windu (because of Vaapad) were the most powerful force users at the time Order 66, but Anankin had almost unlimited force potential. Had it not been for the events on Mustafar Anakin would have far exceeded the power of Sidious; afterwards his potential was 80% that of Sidious. Vader's suit was designed to torture him for this fact. Also, it was the reason the Emperor wanted Luke so badly, as he now had the highest force potential in the galaxy.

I really like Obi-Wan's character. He's not the most physically imposing Jedi nor is he even all that strong in the force, but he's so good because he's smart and because he works hard.

Is this actually legitimate? I've never read this anywhere. Not saying I don't believe you, i've just never seen it anywhere before.
