Agreed, let the alliances develop under fire in a big group like that and I think you’d have some good TV.

The paranoia of having to go to tribal every single night would be good tv. Would also set up for blindsides and idols being used more.

My only problem with that is the individual challenges are usually pretty boring. The first half and second half of the show are pretty opposite. The beginning has some fun team challenges, but the tribal councils are usually tame. The second half has pretty boring endurance competitions, but the tribal councils are usually the most interesting.

If we started with all one tribe, I think the first half of every episode would get old. Maybe a good compromise would be 3 tribes to start. Instead of the top 2 getting immunity, only the first to finish gets it. The second place team gets to stay at their beach. Third place team has to head to the beach of the second place team for the afternoon because they are going to have a joint tribal. There are probably a ton of kinks that would need to get worked out of that plan, but it's an idea that just came to me that might break up some of the monotony.

I’m not sure James understands what a “blindside” is

This wasn’t some huge shocking double cross. He was in the bottom 2 of a 5 person tribe, and even his “teammate” wasn’t really an ally and had voted against him early on.

He tried his best to get the two votes he needed, but the three sticking together doesn’t qualify as a “blindside”, especially when even his own teammate didn’t even have his back.

I always wonder how difficult it is out there to know what’s going on. Someone with even the slightest bit of self awareness should have known he had a 50/50 shot at absolute best. No real surprise either way.

Acting like they just pulled some huge move when it was actually a boring and easy unanimous vote would be my biggest fear in an exit interview

I’ve had to catch up and watch all the episodes on the app. I hated to see Morgan go. Libby and Jenna are looking good this season. Can Donathan be the underdog winner that Cochrane was his season?

What if they swapped the competitions in the beginning as well.
3 tribes do immunity challenge first
Tribe that wins gets immunity idol and a nice reward. Two other tribes have to go to tribal, but before that, the 2 losing tribes head back to the second place tribes beach (or a stand in location) and then after a short rest and they go to a reward challenge where they draw rocks for teams. The rewards would be individual (like a blanket or food) that each member would get to take back to the tribe they are from. They get a few hours together as one large tribe, then the third place team heads back home.
Then that night they go to joint tribal.

Kind of boring season and Ghost Island so far has been a flop. At this point I'm kind of rooting for michael because he been to every tribal and a target it seems.

Is Chelsea the one flying under the radar? She hasn't had any airtime has she?

The only real airtime for Chelsea was her ramming her face into that log in the blindfolded challenge.

Looked like that might have stung a little.

3 or 4 of them had collisions that looked to be pretty painful.

I like the idea of just one tribe for the whole season. They could still do team immunity challenges, just drawing teams before each one. Losing team goes to a separate beach and tribal council where someone is voted off, then they head back to the main beach where the winning team is. Do that until the halfway point, then switch to individual immunity challenges.

That actually sounds pretty brilliant and would be fun as hell to watch. Alliances would be extremely difficult to wield much strength.

So long Bradley. It’s amazing how many people on the show talk down or are jerks to the rest of the cast every season. But are completely oblivious to it. Every season there are 1-2 boneheads like Bradley who get voted off because how they treat other people. You’d think they would wisen up and learn from the past mistakes of Russell, etc, but they never do.

The preview of the next episode reveals the Chris/Dominick feud is coming to a head. Who will win this power struggle?

I think being hungry and playing for $1 million amplifies a Leopard's spots. I know they always say it's just a game but I feel you are who you are under those conditions.

as far as teh feud, they both seem like huge douchebags. I will say that it started as Dom being a bigger one than Chris but now it seems vice versa.

Yeah, he didn't seem to get it at all that no one liked him. I guess part of that is the game, and everyone wanting him to think they are all on the same page though.

Dom still has an idol, right? So I would imagine he will win, unless he's a total bonehead.

Completely agree. Dom has mellowed a lot but Chris is a complete tool. Going to be fun watching him get blindsided, although he’s obviously a threat to go on an individual immunity run.

Bradley, what a fricking nerd

I love how he was like, I’ll argue the color of the sky Jeff. And then in a matter of minutes talked his way around to saying yeah you never want to be too confrontational or rub people the wrong way.

fricking people are so unaware of themselves it’s funny.

He strikes me as the type to get so cocky he won't play it and get blindsided.

How is it a hidden immunity necklace though? Is Mike gonna show up to tribal with it shoved in his pants and tell them it’s a colostomy bag he picked up after the immunity challenge?
