Sorry bro, your arse has to suffer with the rest of us.

Has anyone brought up the fact Plagueis is a Munn, and Snoke looks a whole lot like one himself?

Edit: I thought he poisoned plages in his sleep, so apparently we all need to double check what we remember.

No, the saber duels, save for Darth Maul (but still has no emotional context) are a complete disaster. No way would Anakin and Obi Wan's duel have lasted more than 10 seconds unless it was carefully choreographed and practiced for hours on end.

I thought Anakin/Obi-Wan vs Dooku and then Windu vs Palpatine were pretty good.

Anakin vs Obi-Wan was trying way too hard.

They were ok, but there was no soul to them. I just can't believe that Lucas never thought of a 3 way duel between Anakin, Mace, and Maul as the point of no return for Anakin's character. That would have made a great duel.

I am willing to believe Snoke is Plagueis in possession of another body, but Snoke is not a Muun unless Abrams retconned the appearance of the species.

Well, Maul was dead back in 2005.

Which was another dumb idea in the prequels. There should have been a central visible antagonist whose motivation was clear throughout the trilogy only for Palpatine to come out of nowhere at the end.

Well, up until this point, the Light had been greatly more powerful than the Dark

That is not at all how it works. It has nothing to do with how many people wield the light side or the dark side of the Force. Re-watch that episode from the Clone Wars. The Force had been in balance for thousands of years, if not forever, even as Jedi numbered in the thousands and there were only 2 Sith.

Plagueis got drunk to celebrate. Palpatine either choked him or electrocuted his arse. I think he force choked him slowly.

Oh I know. That was just my "frick it, if we're bringing people back from the dead" theory

Munns are large noggined, tall, and thin humanoids, with no noses, according to the description and picture on wookiepedia.

Sound somewhat familiar?

I can't find a picture of Snoke, but a Muun looks like this:

Head shapes aren't the same. Snoke looks like an old, disfigured human.

I just really don't understand why Force Choking is really a thing with the Sith at large. Yes, for Vader it should be and is a trademark, but it doesn't seem like the most effective thing one can use the Force to execute someone. Kylo Ren had complete control over people's bodies, so why not rip them apart from the inside. I just got the impression that a Force Choke was merely a sick pleasure that Vader did to entertain himself and terrorize his own troops. If you're going to murder the Dark Lord of the Sith, I'd imagine that's one of the last Force moves you'd use since they can still fight you.

I'll have to re-watch it. I realize it wasn't a numbers thing. I just find an argument that the force was unbalanced to the Dark Side, considering the Jedi held pretty much supreme power in the Galaxy, hard to believe.

Yea, I'll have to go back and watch it (doing it shortly) burns thought Snoke's head was fairly normal shaped (minus the missing nose and what not). Cranial shape didn't seem that big, but I'll re-confirm later tonight.

Asserting dominance over another Sith. Choking your arse to death and you can't do shite about it. And you get to look into their eyes, feel their terror, feel the life leave.

Easiest thing for Palpatine to do was cut his head off with a lightsaber, but the Sith don't often choose the easiest way.

Lucas is probably reading this thread going "this is impressive guys but I just thought the line "bring balance to the force" sounded cool and I didn't expect to have to explain this far"

This is the best theory I've heard about this so far

Snoke doesn't look like a Muun, but it could still be Plaugus

You think people are complaining about 7 copying 4 now, think if 1 did.

I read the plagueis book but I need refreshing. How does it describe sidious killing him? Does it confirm it or insinuate it?

Sidious was going over his acceptance speech that he was going to give the next day when he became Chancellor with Plagueis in which he was going to also announce Plagueis as co-Chancellor. They were celebrating reaching the goal of their Sith Masterplan and Palpatine kept going over the speech so that Plagueis would have enough time to drink to get completely drunk. Then Palpatine used force lightning on him a few times. He thought he killed him, but he wasn't sure himself and he was afraid maybe Plagueis had found a way to escape death. He took him for dead though.

Also as I saw mention a few times in the thread, Plagueis didn't abide by, or believe in, the rule of two as the Sith since Darth Bane had. He asked Palpatine to keep an eye out for force users they might could use in his travels. Palpatine even came to Plagueis and told him after he had been training Maul for several years and told him about Maul. They used Maul as their assassin so Maul could do their work while they remained hidden. Maul was never truly an apprentice, and he was only trained as a fighter, not a full fledged Sith. They also worked in concert to try to sway Dooku and Master Syfo-Dyas from the light to the dark.

Again, that's all from the book that is no longer considered canon, but clearly they have been cherry picking some info from the books to put in the movies. So I suspect that a large part of it will be incorporated since Plagueis was actually mentioned in Ep III.

Thank you. I wish they would do something with Darth bane. I loved that trilogy.
