Coming off the back of a landmark Emmy nominations day for The Penguin, Booster Gold could therefore become one of Warner Bros. Discovery‘s next big DC Comics TV adaptations.
Created by Dan Jurgens, the protagonist, real name Michael Jon “Booster” Carter, is a member of the Justice League born in Gotham City who attends university on a football scholarship. He is expelled for gambling and becomes a superhero, although continues to irritate others with his obsession for fame and wealth. His nickname came via Ronald Reagan after he saved the former POTUS.

ETA: Maybe they're just not being clear. The way it's written, he could be from Gotham in the future, and came back in time to save Reagan's life. Just think it's an important bit to leave out.

lol nice.I thought Arroverse did a decent job w/Grodd considering the limited budget so he could be pretty damn cool if they actually spend some coin on creating him.

Not reading all 60 pages but thought it was pretty good. Probably would’ve preferred a original score but that song at the end is catchy as hell and summarizing the feel good vibes of the movie overall
Appreciated that we didn’t need to get spoonfed the same rehashed back stories and set up to build “the universe”. We were put into an existing world and the story filled in what was needed to know outside of the scroll text at the start of the movie
I think Lex steals the show a bit in this one. Feels very much akin to the Sam Rami spiderman movies that respects the stakes that get set up in the plot, but doesn’t bog itself down into having to be so self serious like the Snyder films. Feels like a adapted comic book vs the “what if this was real life” motto that DC has been working off of
The post credit scenes being basically nothing feels like a pot shot at the MCU

Man I’m super excited for this! They already did King Shark so well and I know they are going to spend money on the TV show “monster” characters since they have to cross over to film as well
