This movie in no way did that.

Yeah, I don't understand this complaint. I thought the parents were fine.

The movie is an objectively successful film. The ones whining about it were always going to whine about it no matter what. It’s what they do, and I, for one, enjoy reading it.

Carry on, chaps.

It absolutely did.

Martha is screaming into the cellphone like she's never used one before. Jonathan comes into the bedroom and his delivery of, "Is my boy going to be okay?" was the same as Forrest asking Jenny, "Is he like me?" when asking about Forrest Jr.

When the director and lead of the entire DCU admits to having trouble “cracking the code“ of Superman, that doesn’t bode very well.

It seems to have bode quite well though, considering the success and overall reaction to the movie

Seems the best he could do was basically insert himself wherever he could from his own dog to his very narrow view of what farmers in Kansas are like even down to the “hate“ he received on the Internet. Without that, he doesn’t know how to relate to Superman at all.

He definitely inserted himself into the movie, that isn't really arguable, but again, the movie seems to have resonated with the majority of viewers, so your critiques don't seem to reflect reality.

Everyone likes it and its doing well, its just two losers arguing about nonsense for 55 pages, one of whom doesn't like anything and most likely hasn't even seen it

Hate to break it to you but if reaching 700 to 750,000,000 is what it’s going to take to make it a blockbuster, and ain’t it ain’t happening.

But again, you are not responding to what I said. You simply want to say “Me like movie so do everybody else“. Who cares? Gun admitted he had trouble cracking the easiest code in the history of the comics to movies , and then proceeded to do a self insert in order to get the damn movie made.

It wasn’t so much a critique about what he did, it’s just a statement of fact.

I honestly don't think I've EVER seen anyone root harder for a movie to fail than you have for Superman to fail.

And yes, I'm well aware that you'll say "that's not what I'm doing"... except it is. It's exactly what you are doing.

Why should I backpedal on that which I’m not wrong? Weird.

Y’all want me to respond to that which I’m not even talking about.

With all due respect, you have no clue what it needs to be successful. And it's showing great legs, so 700 is a possibility

Gunn and company have said many times that they’re pleased with the numbers they’re seeing. This movie was a reset for DC’s cinematic universe, and they have said time and time again that they didn’t need it to be a billion-dollar film to consider it a success.

And yet our resident incel-Eberts keep telling us how big a failure it is.

Batman Begins made 373 million total at the global box office. What a failure

Another great hold. Even I'm shocked at legs. It's pretty incredible what it's doing
