just seems like a movie from the start was always going to be an uphill battle as far as being a smash hit, but Gunn/WB just closed their ears and said la la la and moved forward. Then they act shocked/upset when the general audience yawns. No lessons will be learned because as usual, if you don't like the movie its due to you being a misogynist, they live in a bubble.

I didn't really understand the love for it when it came out. Pretty much everything about it was cheap and bad, starting with Corenswet who has the screen presence of a turd sandwich.

I think he’s a good Superman with the right script and director. But you’re right about everything else. The movie was shite and a lot people were trying to wishcast it into being good for some reason.

Variety called it the worst script they ever read. Good luck calling Variety misogynist. I think this movie might just suck enough to kill the Gunn DC universe.

I liked the characters...Corenswet, Hoult and Brosnahan were very good. Some stuff was fun, other stuff was silly. The scene with Metamorpho and his baby was far too much CGI. It looked like a video game

My daughter really wants to go see this tonight. I really don't want to go. Dreading it. I think I am going to go home and talk about how good I heard it was and trick my wife into taking her.

Take one for the team. What's the worst that can happen?

You're kidding right? Have you seen The Happening or The Last Jedi or Battlefield Earth? Terrible things can happen.

Reclining seats. Non-caffeinated soda. Nap time.

I can't tell you how many kids' movies I slept through in the theater.

The Happening

Was actually funny to watch. I mean it was a train wreck, but at least it went all in on wrecking the train.

The Last Jedi

Was bad because you, and I, cared a lot about Star Wars even at that time. You don't care that much about Supergirl.

Battlefield Earth

Ok you got me there.

Kara killing Krem completely defeats to purpose of her taking Ruthye along for the adventure. It wreaks of hypocrisy (she doesn't want Ruthye to become a killer/be consumed by revenge but then mercs the dude herself??). I don't understand Ana Nogueira at all. You have one of the better modern comic series featuring Supergirl with a unique, non-villain led story that focuses on friendship, personal growth, and visual wonder... and you basically abandon all of that. She should blacklisted from the industry indefinitely, this story wreaks of a narcissistic writers room with a strong contempt for the source material. Stop hiring people who don't understand/care about the comics, for frick's sake. And stop hiring losers like Craig Gillespie.

Oh no, you might see a bad movie...with your kid.

Try to focus on that last part.

Well, he could also see a good movie with his kid. Isn’t that better?

Spoiler-ey from my buddy in LA that saw the fan screener

This is the most Tom King movie of the Superhero era.

Apparently Kara is mopey and pathetic and tortured the entire time

The villain is arse, so arse that at times you think he maybe a henchman and the real villain is behind the scenes (he is the main villain)

Lobo rules

Superman carries every scene.

He said Milly is pretty hot, but Jeff digs the Cortney Love aesthetic.

Exactly. Plus, she's 18, she doesn't need me to go.
