There was so much going on in this episode. Everyone is fricking up while trying to please Logan. Rhea puts together a huge party for Logan when he wants to be left alone, you have Roman buying Hearts instead of Hibernian 
, and then Kendall shouts out L to the OG.
Was that a reference to that super cringey MC Rove rap from the early W administration? A reference to James Murdoch being the founder of Rawkus Records?
The Grexit line was great. And it seems clear that Uncle Ewen is the guy bankrolling the guy in cruises who will not settle with Waystar Royco.
The one thing that annoys me is that the guy from Azerbaijan is named Eduard (that’s like having an Italian guy named Wang or a Japanese guy named DeMarcus), and he’s straight out of central casting for a good looking Arab heir. People in Azerbaijan look nothing like that.

Oh dear, I forgot all about MC Rove - I feel certain it was the inspiration for L to the OG. Ugh I’ve had it stuck in my head all day.

No, it’s never been brought up before. They implied in the past that Logan was beaten as a kid, so I bet Ewen and Rose were as well. If even Ewen thinks Logan did nothing wrong in Rose’s death, I wonder if it was a suicide or something when she was a teen.
From what I can gather, the Roy children were born in Dundee, Scotland and moved at a relatively young age (maybe 6 or 7) to Nova Scotia to live with an abusive uncle after their mom died. Unsure of how she passed though.

Jumping all the way to a congressional hearing in one episode feels like a serious reach, but this show has yet to fail me. I’m sure it’ll deliver.

Yeah. I would say the average person on the street looks like a 5’8” Pete Sampras. Then you have some Russians and guys who look like they are maybe a quarter Asian. There are basically no Arabs there.

I loved when Logan started going down memory lane about how he was 4 and his brother was 5 when they left, then made it absolutely clear that his brother's wealth was at his hands. Letting his brother know that no matter how bad he thinks Logan is, he's a hypocritical piece of shite that is wealthy because Logan saw fit to include him in the family's wealth.

Yep. Ewen has visceral hatred for his brother, though he's not above taking his money. Spending it on taking his brother down AFTER the riches have been made seems to be on his agenda, duplicitous as it is.
I watched the episode a second time tonight and it's just solidified how good this show is. Shiv is setting Rhea up to fall, but what Shiv lacks in age and wisdom, Rhea has in spades. I think Rhea has the smarts and experience to survive the Cruises scandal that Shiv is setting her up to go down with. If so, that's gonna get REAL fun when a powerful Rhea goes toe to toe with a riled up Shiv.

1. how fast things move. So he just meets this Rhea girl a few episodes ago and now shes CEO of a fortune 100 company?
2. Its been mentioned on here, but i cringe at how many F bombs they use. its just lazy writing and i know its the world we live in, but i just dont think they fit or are realistic.
Like on his tribute video at a very upscale reception, Shiv opens up with "Dad, first off i just want to say frick you". I mean, come on. Also, people dropping MF, etc on the speeches. Maybe thats how they do it in that family, i just highly doubt that would be the case.

A lot of people drop tons of F bombs in everyday speech. I'm sure a cut-throat, egotistical multi-billion dollar-worth type of family would use it like crazy.
FWIW they've acknowledged the language isn't for everyone like in S1 when Kendell screws up a deal by using the F bomb on a call.

This show seems heavily influenced by Arrested Development. It’s so good.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear frick or motherfricker come out of the mouth of any denizen of NYC, whether on the Bowery or Fifth Avenue. Don't forget the sitting president used MF in a campaign speech. Frankly, about the only place I expect those words to be verboten today is Sunday morning service. For better or worse frick and its many derivations have become near-ubiquitous in the US both on and off the screen.
