After recently binging Clone Wars, I'm excited for this one. The four episode arc in the last season about this team drew me in. I imagine that was done as a back door pilot/proof of concept thing.

There's the info I was looking for. This will probably be amazing.

Damn didn’t think it’d be out that soon.

Pretty much anything Filoni does in Star Wars is fantastic, for sure. He just understands Star Wars in a way that people like Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams, and Rian Johnson don’t. He can make you feel emotionally invested in the content.

me neither
No way Disney would rush up something to redirect media attention, right?

They released a pretty detailed trailer months ago. They will probably release another soon. I expected it to come out before the Summer.

They've also been releasing stuff on Star Wars day. No reason to deflect.

I never expected to give a shite about the clones following the prequels, but damn has Clone Wars reversed that.
Fives. Rex. Tup. Etc.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
There's no way this isn't excellent.

So glad we finally got a release date. I think people will love it. It's been a lot of fun to work on.

Can’t wait to the the ramifications of Order 66 on these guys (if they were ever given the control chip) and Echo (who I’m sure does have the chip).
Will be interesting and can give in to some serious storytelling leading up to the Star Wars Rebels storyline.
If they are underground, fighting against the Empire in some shadow way, heck, even Obi Wan can be a part of this in some way.
So many different directions to go.

how important is it to have seen Clone Wars before watching this?

I'm sure this will be pretty good.
But it really should have been a police procedural about the rampant use and overdosing of Death Sticks on Coruscant.

I don't think it will be necessary to watch the entirety of the Clone Wars prior, but watching the episodes with them in the final season will explain who/what they are
I highly recommend watching the entirety of the Clone Wars, it's awesome

Interesting: A young Fennic Shand (Ming-Na Wen's character from The Mandalorian) is in this.
