The Republic fleet gets blown up.
If you watch you see a shitload of ships get blasted when the Starkiller smokes the Republic planets.
It gets mentioned when they are planning the attack. A ton of people seem to be missing this point.
From a lore standpoint I think most of the huge fleets of old got blown up in the aftermath of ROTJ

Just got out. Very very well done. Loved everything about it. Wish they would have delved into a few things a bit more but that's what made the first one so great, the wanting to know more and looking forward to the next one. Can't wait.

Loved it, better than what I thought it would be. Good mix of humor and action. I like how they slowly introduced a lot of the older characters in and didn't throw them in too quickly.
all of this
can't wait to see it again

I think you're letting your hatred for Girls cloud your judgement. You're just being a troll at this point.

It took luke 3 movies to do some of the moves she was pulling off. Acquired traits don't pass down generations last I checked
Well, they need to fast forward through a bit of things. All we saw in the prequels were fast lightsaber tricks. We need to get more into the Force and what it can actually do. This film pulled that off well. As I said, I hope the final duel between Finn and Rey in Episode IX does not involve lightsabers and their power is beyond that. Their battle will simply be through Force power. If for instance someone swung a lightsaber at them, they should be powerful enough to stop and negate it similar to what Kylo did to start the movie off.
Plus, you got to admit that was pretty damn powerful and you cheered when Rey picked up the lightsaber Kylo so desperately wanted.

Lol you mad. Rey styling. The movie kicked so much arse.

You are trying too hard now. Comparing a movie performance to a coach? Trying to expand your troll... stop.
You may think it wasn't good. But now you're just being hyperbolic as well as making comparisons that have no business being here other than to provoke.

But I don't understand why some are complaining it was similar to New Hope. Yea there are similarities but the only plot point that is the same is that they blow up the super sized Death Star at the end. It was the first movie so to connect to fans they are gonna try and hark back to the original
yea. plus they probably wanted to play it kinda safe starting off. get people back on board after the disasters of the prequels

True but clones had less jar jar.
Yeah, but it also had the single worst romance in cinematic history. If you remove Jar Jar from the Phantom Menace, then the plot doesn't change and its issues are still there. Clones you can't remove the love story, and it's just awful.

Why? They were in control of the script and they have this franchise forever, they could've held off on her being a Jedi master for 10 minutes

I didn't have any issue with the way that was handled really. It was more about the stuff on the ship. If she just pulled off one move to save the day it wouldn't have been as big an issue. But she used all of them

If you expect driver to be Vader, he sucked.
If you expect him to be a powerful but immature apprentice, he did fine.

Rey/Ren is what we should have gotten with Aniken. Very strong/quick to learn, raw. Hardly any doubt... to the point of overconfidence.

Rey is probably a descendant of the Mitichlorians

I enjoyed the movie. Wasn't bad by any means.
But the fact that Ren is Han and Leia's son is so lame to me. And then we just create another Death Star and blow it up again. And then Rey learns intricate force knowledge in minutes.
Those are my issues. Loved Han; Leia was painful to watch. Still enjoyed myself, but after the reviews I was reading, I expected something different.

Yeah, I see what you're saying now. I thought you were more referring to her resistance to Kylo Ren and able to use his power against him. But yeah, I don't care how powerful you are in the Force, you shouldn't be able to stere a craft like that you have no experience with. I'll let it slide.

Exactly. He's not Vader. He's a mere fanboy filled with rage. He's a bad arse fanboy, but a fanboy nonetheless.
