Stat Wars is about magic space wizards.
And females who can, in a short time period, master the jedi arts, and even master a saber, use mind tricks, and nearly kill a Jedi who has trained with Master jedis.
That broad is a 1 in a trillion find

Hobbit was just bad except for the few sequences he cared about in that mess.
Indy4 had glimpses of our old pulp stories marred by goddamn Shia and that stung.
TLJ was just clunkily put together with no plan, bad dialogue, and a bad premise with no clue on resolving it. So it's the worst. At least the others were trying harder.

Disney had no intention of him directing TLJ or IX. In fact he had drafted scripts for the entire trilogy that likely tied in very nicely with TFA but Johnson scrapper them and rewrote TLJ.
Can we stop with this miss truth already?
Feelings on the last jedi aside, jj never drafted any scripts for 8 and 9. Sure he may have had some general ideas on where to take it but he didn't even become a writer for TFA until 3 months before filming began.
He literally was re writing tfa as they were shooting it. During this time, Johnson was hired to write and direct 8.
So no....JJ didn't write a trilogy that got thrown in the trash for Johnson's. That doesn't even make sense

Disney should have just made stand alone films or side trilogies after buying Star Wars. Rogue One is one of my favorite films in the series and Solo wasn't too bad. Imagine them doing a series on the Jedi Sith war thousands of years prior to TPM

Well Disney has put the brakes on Star Wars projects going forward. They haven't come to a complete stop obviously, but they have slowed the tempo down dramatically and seem to be rethinking what they want to do. There is the live action TV series in the works and Episode 9 but after that its "we're thinking about doing this, or we might do that."
As industry insiders have noted, Disney is very good at course correcting when things don't go according to plan. That seems to be what they are doing now, slowing down and taking stock before they move forward with new projects. I would not be surprised if some folks were quietly let go after Episode 9 or some new people were brought onboard.

I think Disney's biggest mistake was they just wanted to push movies out there. And I liked TFA and TLJ. I do understand the criticism of the latter
I think they should have hired one guy to do the whole trilogy and not worry about pumping a film out every other year.
I think they learned from this. This is why Benioff and Weiss get to do their own thing. Same for Johnson.

It really is a tragedy what's been done to my childhood
I love it when people show how much of a pussy they are buy saying this. Nothing has changed your childhood. It's your adulthood that's a tragedy.

I mean I get the sentiment.
Who thought you wouldn't be hyped for Star Wars?
It's kind of like when Game of Thrones butchered Dorne in the show but at least they gave us some decent titties.

What was a worse? TLJ, Indy 4, or the Hobbit trilogy?
That's a tough one.
I have to go with a tie between TLJ and Indy 4

Well then say, "I can't believe I'm not hyped for Star Wars."
Saying it ruined your childhood is dumb. Nothing about your childhood has changed.

That's what happens to ugly hippies.

We live in the society of "literally".
People are gonna say hyperbolic things.
TLJs big mistake was taking a theme from the books of Luke fricking up being a Master because he was reinventing the wheel. And starting in the middle of the story vibes. Even Kevin J Anderson got it right in the awful Jedi Academy series. Luke fricked up, a sith ghost got at a student, knocked him out of commission. He still kept fighting, going so far as to guide his nephew in slaying the Sith Ghost.

The biggest problem (I have said this many times) is the entire ST invalidates the original 3 films. Literally no one accomplishes anything after 30 years time. The New Republic is a weak, corrupt mess arguably less effective than the Galactic Empire. Luke has utterly failed at rebuilding the Jedi order and has moved off to live as a hermit on an island on a remote plan. Han/Leia are separated and probably haven't seen each other in years either.
What would've been so hard about replacing "The Resistance" with "The Republic" and having Leia serve as Chancellor or at least Senator as opposed to the leader of a guerrilla army? Why couldn't there be a somewhat limited contingent of Jedi knights serving as guardians of said Republic along with Luke Skywalker as their teacher?
Rey could've still fit into the story. Just have Luke find her on Jakku or something.

In other media, Leia was forced out of public service when the galaxy learned the truth of her parentage. The rise of the First Order/Resistance and their conflict is pretty well done. The ST is the problem.
