I really don't care what some actress says.

Is the show good? Is that stuff in the show, in reality?

Don’t know who that is, but if he took a media credential for D23, he’s a paid stooge.

True media doesn’t go to media events.

No. I won't be giving them the views they crave until I'm absolutely certain it's worth my time and doesn't have any wokeness in it.

Shes right about that, but it certainly isn't Trump taking over.

How devoid of reality could she possibly be?

What about Disney's recent track record leads you to give them the benefit of the doubt like this?

I enjoyed The Mandolorian, Boba Fett, Kenobi.

I enjoyed Rogue One.

The trailer looked good.

Kenobi belongs nowhere near that list of shows/movies. They had the opportunity to stick the landing with that show and completely bungled it.

Regardless, if that's truly how you feel then this review should give you pause:

Here’s me: I’ve been disenchanted with Star Wars for years. Every film/TV show after LAST JEDI felt like this franchise isn’t for me anymore - more interested in replaying its greatest hits forever (often w/ghoulish CG) rather than forging any new territory.

#Andor changes that.

Why should that review give him pause? He's saying this is the best thing Star Wars has done in years.

No. He's saying The Last Jedi was the last Star Wars anything that he enjoyed.

If he likes Last Jedi, I don't want anything to do with this show. Especially when the writer thinks Trump is a dictator and is writing the show with that in mind

First reactions for 'Star Wars: Andor'

As if their “opinion” wasn’t bought and paid for by Disney.

People can not wait to hate it:

I can't understand why so many want to predispose themselves to hate a TV show or movie. Whether they realize it or not it sucks the joy out of life. Even if it ends up being something you would enjoy or do enjoy it still won't be as good as it would have been if you didn't build yourself up to dislike it.

If you think Last Jedi was better than Bad Batch, the last season of Clone Wars, Mandalorian, Boba Fett, or even Kenobi, then ok. You do you.

No one who actually likes Star Wars would use Last Jedi as the benchmark for "good" Star Wars, especially given what's come after it.

Even the dang shorts released on Disney+ were better than TLJ.

ETA: And imagine saying Star Wars has had terrible CGI in those shows after the guys doing Mandalorian totally revolutionized cinematography using virtual set pieces. Just a total slap in the face.

Yeah, I disagree with him about nothing be good following TLJ, but my point was that he was saying something positive about Andor so it really shouldn’t give anyone “pause” about it.

It’s possible Andor is good enough that both TLJ lovers and haters both like it.

Hard for me to imagine this. For it to be good to people who enjoyed TLJ, it would have to "subvert expectations" of actual Star Wars fans.

I'll believe it when I hear it from critics who hated TLJ and don't get paid by Disney to review their crap.

ETA: It will be unfortunate if they ruin the best Disney Star Wars movie with this show. Hopefully it's good.
