In what was likely her only shot in life at being a millionaire, I’m ok with 278 being selfish.
That being said if I were 301, I wouldn’t have taken another jump until someone else took the lead. I would have politely sat my happy arse down on the glass and let the clock tick. Someone from the back was going to get antsy and take the lead.
I don’t think anyone has a problem with 278 being selfish. It’s her being selfish, screwing 301 and then expecting everyone else to be unselfish right after.
And then pretending she’s the victim and attacking Mai who was the only one with the nuts to call her out on it.
Then everyone on the set pretends Mai is the bad person and is selfish. I get some people are strange and some people are dumb, but there is no way all of them are that stupid. You have to be completely disconnected from reality to think Mai is the bad guy in that situation. So I guess the other 7 players were completely disconnected from reality… either that or producers told them hands off Ashley. I know which one I think it was.

I was kinda hoping that the dude from backwoods Kentucky with the mullet would make it to the final round. I'm sure that $4.5 million could help pull him out of the 1990s.

I was really enjoying this until it got down to about 30 people or so. I didn’t really care for most of them and everyone seemed like drama queens to me. The worst thing I’ve seen is 097 stealing the dude’s burger.

I wouldnt have been mad at her at all if she made a selfish choice to increase her chances of winning.
she obviously had no plans of jumping more than one time, so why did she refuse to take that 50/50 jump and instead take the next 50/50 jump.
she accomplished absolutely nothing, the policy of her skipping Trey and jumping would have benefitted her more than almost anybody else being that she was #4 (or was it 5) out of 20.
by not skipping him she was basically relying on everyone else to keep their word after she threw that policy out, so she risked having to make 10 more 50/50 jumps in a row by choosing to take the 6th 50/50 jump instead of the 5th or whatever it was that Trey wanted her to take.

She bet on Trey jumping again if she just waited which worked. Trey was an ultimate team player but it cost him in that game.
When 04 overtook Trey as the leader she even says it was a stupid move because 04 could have just sat back and relax.
She was fine letting the ones in front of her do all the work. I just wonder what would have happened had she still refused to jump when it was her turn in the lead. She may not have had to jump at all.

her move made zero strategical sense, she was gonna have to jump one time if she passed him. by not passing him she risked having to jump 10+ times if the other players weren't bitches that did her a favor after she refused to go by the rule the team had decided of everyone doing 1 jump.

He stood there and took it, everyone walking up grabbing food off the tray. That wouldn’t go down with lots of people. I believe the production purposely selected a lot of mentally soft people, with a few hard core people thrown in the mix. I really hope Mai wins because I think she’s been through more real world stuff compared to the other two.

She wasn't a good person, tho. She flat out lied to Mai in their "discussion" about overtaking on the glass bridge in accordance with the agreed upon rules when she did no such thing. She absolutely was not required to do so, but she shouldn't have lied about it after the fact.
That was my second most satisfying elimination, after the deaf chick that dead arse tried to gaslight her partner in the marbles game and the glass bridge smoked her evil arse.

278 tried to spin it like, "I did take a jump." Well, yeah you did, bitch. Not the one you should have taken.
I just don't see why everyone didn't see it like Mai. I completely agreed with Mai. She's a bad arse. I still can't get over long haired dude picking the present right twice!!!

Did anyone else have the thought that the first person to make it to the end of the glass bridge could milk the clock and win squid game?
I think it was the stocky dude - couldn't he just sit there and wait to jump and have everyone else fall?
Surely the producers said something off screen to prevent that.

Yeah im guessing the producers prevented that.
But if they hadnt, I think one person would have a tough time holding back several others if they swarmed him. But would have been interesting if 3 of them allied to clog up the last spot and prevent the otherw until the last second. Insure a spot in the final 3z

Yeah I also kinda forgot people could jump ahead of others

It would have been funny if they would have ran out of time on the bridge and not finished
The main reason Mai and Sam made it to the final was because they didn't have to make a decision in the bridge game. They were so far back, it was follow the leader to the end.

That guy couldn't eat beef based on his religion so he had no problem with it.

I was thinking the same thing. After 301 (the son) fell, I was surprised she took one jump.
I wonder what would have happened if the rest told her to keep going because she didn’t agree to the plan just 5 mins earlier.

One thing that bugged me about the glass bridge, is that they were trap doors. Both panes could be rigged the same and the producers could trigger the door, depending on who they wanted to eliminate.
There was only an illusion on a 50/50 chance and it was actually scripted.

I doubt they’d do something like that, completely rigging a game. It was obvious they were not trap doors, and more than likely the producers told the contestants if they were right or wrong, and then rigged up the contestant in a harness to drop them if they were wrong.

I almost think it was edited to make it look like the black chick wasn't going to skip over him. 301 never said a word to her and asked her to do it. He just took it upon himself to keep jumping. In her interviews afterwards she stated she wasnt going to do it. But then that doesn't make sense because she jumped right afterwards. And also when everyone went back to the dorms no one thought she wasn't a team player besides the vietnamese woman. Very odd.
Also, some of these episodes took 10+ hours to film
I recently saw a reel\tiktok of one of the contestants who got elimited during the cookie game.
She stated that it took almost 8 hours to film the first red light green light game. She went into detail how cameramen and drones were allowed in between each instance to pick people who were out and to get close ups
She also explains that this is the reason the one girl in the first episode has to drop out because she is in so much pain. The girl went into a squatted position. During the episode it looked like she was squatting for 30 seconds, in reality it was 20+ minutes and she couldn't hold it any longer.
I wouldn't be so sure. shite in the last two challenges\games alone there are no longer any straight white males. Either gays/women or minorities.
