Zendaya has been one of the best parts of this iteration of Spider-Man. Her character is hilarious and has incredible chemistry with Peter and Ned.

The hype for this movie is insane
The 70s Superman and 80s Batman movies deserve their respect but for a lot of people the 00s Spider-Man movies and X-Men movies kind of set the stage for what we have now with the MCU and those movies still hold up and were actually good and have a lot of nostalgia attached to them.
Like a lot.
That and the fact that it confirms the Multiverse and the opportunities that it provides for past, present and future Marvel movies, just has a lot of people excited. The potential Multiversal movies, especially Avengers level stuff, could be fricking bonkers.

This sounded a lot more amusing in your head I'm sure. I really like Zendaya as an actress. Her character in Spider-man isn't great. It's insulting to the long time fans to call her Michelle Jones and then do the whole MJ thing. It's fine if they want to update the story and not include the MJ that fans know and love, but maybe change the name. It's not even just her appearance that's changed. To be honest though, I'm more appalled with the "re-imagining" of Flash Thompson.
That said, I enjoy the movies. We've had enough Spider-man stories at this point to pick out our favorite and least favorite from each iteration. They each have pros and cons.

I think it fits. I think we have understand that a lot of the characters we grew up with are going to be modernized eventually. In 2020, the bully at a prep school in New York is more likely to be a rich, entitled a-hole, than a overpowering jock.

Maybe you're right, but I could never see that kid becoming agent Venom for instance. I know the odds are slim we'd ever get there, but a rich nerd doesn't fit for me.
Like I said, I still enjoy the movies, but that's one of my cons for the new trilogy.

Why even give her the initials MJ, then? If she's truly not a rip-off or "reimagining" of Mary Jane Watson (please, don't insult our intelligence) then why not name her Jennifer Smith or Linda Baker? No, this was just another attempt by modern Hollywood to "subvert our expectations" or "deconstruct the character" - so stop trying to be disingenuous.

I'm not saying it's definitely Mephisto, but it being someone disguised as Dr. Strange would explain why he's wearing the Eye of Agamotto necklace. I really find it odd for Dr. Strange to be wearing that.
Yep, he doesn’t have it in Endgame
Thanos crushes it during their battle on Titan.
The Eye of Agamotto isn't like it is in the comics; it was just a conduit for the time stone. That's why when Strange conjures the stone to give to Thanos, it's not inside the necklace.
He's not wearing it because it's in dozens of pieces on the surface of Titan.

So i originally thought that Loki was the cause of the multiverse due to killing Kang and not dr. Strange’s messed up spell.
Anyone have a clue of how both caused the multiverse?

I don't think Strange "caused the multiverse" but rather broken down the barrier between the MCU and other universes. In this case, because he was casting the spell for Spider-Man, he ends up breaking down the walls to the Tobey and Garfield Spiderverses.
Most likely before that happened, the spell couldn't have backfired so spectacularly because Kang was destroying the variant timelines; now that isn't the case so the spell backfires much worse.
Anyway, that's my theory.

Potentially just a reference to the real MJ kind of like how Spider-Man 2 referenced Dr. Strange which I guess is actually kind of funny now considering that movie is technically part of the MCU now

I swear to God they better have Nic Cage as Spider-Man Noir in this film.

I’m really excited for this movie. The thought of Bully Maguire showing up and threatening to put dirt in someone’s eye just gives me chills.

How long do y'all think it will take for them to re-create the meme?

The only thing that makes me worried about the other dimension spidermen coming back is that into the spider verse already did it perfectly

Not quite. You can see the sign indicating the exit for the George Washington Bridge.
