Strange did this in the comics for Spiderman. Mephisto took Spider-Man marriage to SAVE Aunt May life. People mix up the two.

This one is going to set the tone for the ensuing blockbusters in phase 4. Holy shite I can't wait. I know the one knock Holland's spidey gets is that his solo movies tend to have a supporting cast (Tony, Fury/Happy), and this one obviously is trending that way with Strange and the other spideys....but I think this will be his moment where he just starts fricking shite up against the sinister 6.

What if the sanctum is cold bc he’s Mephisto and is trying to stay cool?

He did start that fire…

Any idea what's going on with the train scene? It almost looks like Spidey and Strange are going at it?

I'm guessing it's misleading editing or Strange is just trying to retrieve something Spidey may have taken from him like the Time Stone.. the trailer is pretty vague, and I kind of dig that especially with Strange's movie coming out 3 months after No Way Home

Yeah it seem like they are doing an adaption of the One More Day story line. Was really controversial at the time because who got killed off.

SPOILERS IN LINK

Spiderman One More Day

I don't see Fiege wanting to be too controversial, I'm not familiar with the recent comics but from watching the trailer breakdown youtube videos apparently there's another recent Spidey storyline it could be following.. and my guess is it will be a combination of one or more

He seems to be the guy slamming down the files next to Peter, don't see his face but see his shirt and tie. Very likely he's Peter's lawyer

Mephisto would make sense. Strange seemed way out of character. Almost made me think it was actually Loki who learned to cast. Or maybe a variant of Strange.

Y’all really need to let this Mephisto/Nightmare red herring go.

Fan Theory/Spoiler Alert (I haven’t read shite besides here)

I don’t know, I’m thinking that the next Dr Strange movie will take place at the same time as this movie. I think Mephisto may manipulate Scarlet Witch to start the events of that film and then lure Dr Strange away from The Sanctum just for Mephisto to inhabit it and assume Strange’s form, and then he waits for Peter to come to him, only to unleash the Multiverse which will additionally have effects on the Dr Strange sequel. That’s my theory at least.

If they brought in Netflix Daredevil like that, it’d be a good move to say the least.

Tired: multiverse of Spidermen

Wired: multiverse of Daredevils. Gimme Affleck!

I hated Rhino's portrayal in the Garfield movie but hopefully they do him justice

Opposite. I would totally geek if they crammed Paul Giamatti back in this.

I’m excited if they do in fact bring in McGuire and Garfield.

It would be tits if they would somehow fit Miguel O'Hara (SM2099) but that seems like it would be asking a lot.

Because he needs Peter’s binding consent. Mephisto does pacts with his victims.

I'm not saying it's definitely Mephisto, but it being someone disguised as Dr. Strange would explain why he's wearing the Eye of Agamotto necklace. I really find it odd for Dr. Strange to be wearing that.

I thought it was confirmed that Charlie Cox is in the movie?

That was my understanding as well. His character hasn't been revealed, but he is in the film...

The director's cut of Affleck's Daredevil is a solid flick. Colin Farrell is fun as Bullseye.

Would also allow for Favreau to be Foggy Nelson again.
