As an astronaut sent to the edge of the galaxy to collect mysterious ancient dust finds his earthly life falling to pieces, he turns to the only voice who can help him try to put it back together. It just so happens to belong to a creature from the beginning of time lurking in the shadows of his ship.

Trailer

Still too early to tell if this is a serious performance, but from what I can tell from the trailer it seems he put in some effort. Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano are co-stars. Directed by Johan Renck who also directed Chernobyl on HBO. Based on a 2017 sci-fi novel, Spaceman of Bohemia.

That looks……weird. But Sandler is actually a good actor and he can pull off serious roles pretty well.

Not thrilled about the giant spider though.

Kind of has the feel of Scavengers Reign on Max.

I just watched "You Don't Mess With the Zohan" last night so it's going to take me a bit to adjust to this serious role.

That being said it looks promising.

IMHO, Reign over me is a fantastic movie and very well done by him

It really does amaze me how decent he is as a serious actor.

This one looks like it could be good.

I thought his acting in Uncut Gems was very good. I ended up forgetting for a while he was Adam Sandler and believed he was Howard.

Very intense and anxiety filled movie. You get the feeling that the whole thing cannot end well.

So a longer modified version of the "Beyond the Aquila Rift" story from Love, Death and Robots?

We should airdrop copies of this over Israel to remind them to get along.

man that ending was disturbing beyond belief when you think about it.

I’m getting some The Fountain vibes from this one. Will check it out. And yeah Uncut Gems is one of if not the most stressful movie I’ve seen

You watched that trailer and don't think this will be a "serious performance"?

It looks like it could be really good. Will likely watch.
