The range that guy has is incredible, he can go from the most lovable character on the show to the absolute most hated with one facial expression and I'm being serious when I say he would make a great penguin

Basically they were like It was really cool when Nolan had Dr. Crane in Batman Begins say "it's the. Bat. Man" so we'll name the move The Batman.
Batman is my favorite super hero and I actually like penguin, but I'm sure this will suck and just name it Batman not The Batman for gods sake.

if they thought it was cool then they were way off. It's 15 or so years later (hard to believe) and my wife and I still make fun of this line everytime we see Cillian Murphy (which is a lot since we love Peaky Blinders)

"The" Batman predates Nolan. Goes back 80 years, to when Bob Kane was still signing his name as Rob't.

David Thewlis would absolutely kill it as the penguin. Only problem is they already used him in Wonder Woman.
