Also, maybe yall have insight.. The exchange between Potter and Otto
Potter: "Why do you want to do this for Lenny"
Otto: "You just wouldn't understand"
Potter: (under his breath) "If you only knew"
Is it a gay reference??? Is Lenny Otto's bitch in prison and he wants him taken care of and Potter is gay also?
I'm confused

I took it to mean Potter had once been in a club, and knew the codes they lived by. But I've been wrong before.

I thought Potter said "I wish that wasnt true"
I took it to confirm that Potter has always been a loner without friends. Kind of evident in how he treats people such as blackmailing the sherrif to get his cooperation.

That's twice for that poor bastard getting blown up
That said, I'm really ready for this season to end so Justified can start up again.

every situation seems complex and twisted but is usually fixed with an overly simple event or explanation.
This is the main flaw with the show, this and dragging out the whole Ireland trip to a season when it could have been handled in abouot 3 episodes. Plus they need more of the Irish babes, I like blondes...

what sucks for me is that this year between the original airing of the episode and the following Tuesday, there are not 4-5 showings of it so i can make sure i see it. I missed the 11-08 episode and half of the 11-01 (or was it 10-25) episode. in the past, i could it on sunday but i have not seen any re-airings except tuesday at midnight.

I wouldn't rate this show the same way I would rate The Sopranos, Mad Men, etc.
Even though it is a drama, I think Kurt Sutter wants it to be more along the lines of action/entertainment, which is why you see these bizarre moments from time to time.
I look at it like an action series.

I don't look at it on par with shows like that, but I watched this as soon as boardwalk was over and the disparity was staggering
I look at it as an action/adventure but it still has to have credibility and it needs to be realistic to a degree
motorcylce gangs fighting alongside the head of a major cartel against another cartel with rocket launchers, mine fields, and .50 cals in the middle of a bumfrick town in california is not realistic even with the suspension of reality nor are any of the character's decisions the last 3 seasons credible. Event B does not logically flow from Event A and so on

I've liked this season of both BE and SoA.

It is realistic, to a degree. To say, as you do there and later, that there's been nothing realistic in the show and no credible character decisions in the last three seasons is hyperbole at best and really stupid at worst.
They've laid the foundation for the things they've done. They haven't been inconsistent on the relationships with the IRA or the cartel. Romeo hasn't been ever-present and his showing up from time to time isn't any more ridiculous or unbelievable than some of things Tony, Gus, Don Eladio, [insert other head of a criminal organization from a top show here] did in their time as far as getting their hands dirty or operating below their pay grade goes.

They weren't in the middle of a town.

the shield. when he was hiding out from the cops shane meet him in an abandoned warehouse with lunch in a brown bag. when shane handed the bag to LEM he dropped a grenade down between the door and seat. shane walked away and the grenade exploded killing lem. Hence he got blown up in the shield and in SOA.
