So, all those celebrity "jokes" in Family Guy weren't really jokes....

The later. It was mockingly rumored for a while that Bruce Jenner crossdressed. Seth MacFarlane is a man who loves standing on a moral high horse, and I think he's been doing this throughout his career but played it close enough to the chest not to be sued. Probably a few more jewels laid out throughout his shows, films, performances, and songs.

The Bruce Jenner thing had been rumored for a few years. David Arquette says he knew about it in the late 80's.

He also called it when Trump announced he was running

Link to that? I think he called him fricking delusional literally to his face in person when he said he was running for President.

Bruce was confused back during his first marriage. This can't have been that much of a secret.
Plus, one of the Arquette brothers is a woman now. The one from Pulp Fiction and The Tubes, "She's a Beauty" music video.

If by "is" you mean "was" and by "now" you mean "before she died".... sure, you're dead on.

He threw out a line about Harvey Weinstein at the Oscar nomination announcement a few years back too.

Ricky Gervais destroyed them when he hosted a couple years ago.

Arquette told Ibrahim that "sex-reassignment is physically impossible. All you can do is adopt these superficial characteristics but the biology will never change."
Robert Dupont, a former boyfriend of Arquette's, also confirmed that Arquette had transitioned back to his male identity prior to his death. Dupont said "My twin brother Richard and I had lunch with him in Santa Monica less than a month [before his death]". According to Dupont, "Alexis had changed over and was living as a man again, and he asked me if I had any clothes I didn’t want that he could wear.

McFarlane is a really clever guy. It gets a lot of hate nowadays but early Family Guy had a lot of smart and clever pop culture references.
A lot of this stuff - Weinstein being a creep, Jenner liking to cross dress, Spacey being gay were all slightly hidden but known inside the hollywood industry. McFarlane just amplified the situations for a joke. Turned out the jokes were right on point since they all turned out to be sickos/weirdos.

Remember the weirdos and semi-creepy "theater" kids that we all went to high school with, well Hollywood is basically those people that hit the genetic lottery and were good looking enough to make it.
I would say there are a few outliers like The Rock and former athletes and regular folks like Harrison Ford (he was a carpenter) who were at the right place at the right time, but that industry is clearly made up mostly of very sick, strange individuals. And now it's being exposed for everyone to see in public.

Oh for fricks sakes. It's a huge industry. You find sickos and weirdos in all huge industries.
Hell our president likes to get pissed on.

ive followed the industry for years and am in it now. how many of these did people really have 0 clue on? im honestly curious. before I started working in the industry I knew most of these.
Look at Spacey. the incident Rapp refers to was when Spacey was 26. hes been doing this for nearly 30 years. it wasnt a secret. it just wasnt talked about.
Bryan Singer should be one of the next to fall for a lot of things hes done. unfortunately it takes the victims to come forward, which is extremely difficult to do when you have thousands looking to replace you or take your opportunity.

I think there's a certain strangeness to the life of a celebrity that slowly destroys your normal boundaries.
We all need to be told we're full of shite and can't do anything that randomly occurs to us. If you become a celebrity (with no one around you willing to respect other people's boundaries) then you have to have a rare sort of internal compass not to slowly lose perspective and/or decency. Celebrities don't all become Howard Hughes or Michael Jackson, but very few of them wouldn't strike you as pretty weird if you ran into them on the street.
I think being criticized and having to absorb some of that criticism as valid (or worth refuting) is a saving grace for people with enormous power. Bill Gates for example has become one of the great philanthropists perhaps as a result of all of the personal loathing once directed his way. A loathing he has almost completely reversed (save a few hard-core Jobs' fans).
