Doesn't compete with Stevie Nicks' Fajita Roundup or Donald Trump's House of Wings.

Just watched the whole episode. It was ok. There were as many misses as hits. Cold open sucked. Last couple sketches were not great. 2 guys at the end of weekend update sucked.

But this is an improvement from the past 6 years.

Pedro and Bowen losing it at the dinner with the extra well done steak was hilarious

Yeah that was pretty good.

I don’t get the cold open though. They basically just did the same thing as weekend update but with a different anchor.

The Mario Kart skit was one of the best skits I've seen in a long time coming from SNL, very well done

And tbh I would watch that movie in a heartbeat

They're at their best when they do things like this. No politics, no attempts at ultra deep humor, but rather taking something that would be absurd in the real world and then, of course, doing just that - putting it in the real world.

Like the parody of the Joker trailer with Grouch.

I think that's why the commercial parodies still work - taking those commercials and just running them to absurdist extremes will always be funny.

The only did 4 of them, but their Bakeoff contest skits ramped up the weird to 11 and I loved it. No politics, just 2 horrible bakers, 1 legit good one who gets ignore, and the one who is obsessed with making the cakes phallic.

Reminds me of the hilarious skit that Patrick Stewart did ages ago, Sexy Cakes.

Welcome to Sexy Cakes, the Erotic Bakery!

Wing pit reminded me of taco town and the shredders commercial

Wing Pit was like a combo of Colon Blow and Cluckin Chicken.

Yes. It was most similar to Taco Town. Loved that commercial.

I liked that they didn't give a shite and used the same set and blocking for the last couple of skits. Same restaurant, just changed costumes and characters. What sold the steak skit for me was Ego Nwodim 99% not breaking character while everyone else was losing their shite.

I'm all in too. As soon as I saw the Nintendo logo at the beginning I knew it would be good, otherwise they wouldn't have allowed it as they've been so protective of their IP.

Their pre-taped stuff is infinitely better than their sketch content lately.

enjoyed both wing pit and mario kart.

the funniest thing about wing pit is the price of wings. i don't know hardly anywhere that charges less than a dollar per wing these days.

I still watch every week on DVR the next day. While its a shell of its former self, it has surprised me this year with so many new faces.

I’ve also come around on the weekend update guys. I hated them at first but they are pretty funny.
