SIAP: Day of the Jackal - spoilers

I started it up last week and have a few episodes left. I couldn't find a thread on it here so I was wondering what the boards opinions were.
I have enjoyed it, I think it is a pretty solid show, like a 7 or an 8. It isn't exceptional in any way but it have good value to it.
It definitely pokes at James Bond with the theme song being eerily similar to Skyfall, it has the woman they wanted to be the new bond in it (more in a second on that). It has some creative gun work in it which has been fun to see and hear about.
So, the woman they wanted to play Bond. That girl is thick. They show some side shots of her later in the show and she reminds me of Bryce Howard playing a super spy in Argyle. No way she could have carried a Bond film, but she has been pretty solid in this. Gun nut that is good at her job, I can deal with that line.
Eddie Redmayne has been good in the role but his facial expressions range from my puppy died to pouty crybaby face. there are a couple times when he smiles but one lead to a gay makeout scene and the other was around his wife and kid.
Guy who plays the High Evolutionary in GoG3 is in this too. Role isn't huge but he is in there a scene or two per show and he is a pretty good actor in this role again.
Tywin Lannister, Beric Dondarrion, and Crazy Catlyn Stark's sister are the only other ones I know from the show and they just play bit parts.

Alright, I finished it today on a rain day and I really think the show was solid start to finish. It certainly left itself for a second season and could be a really good second season.

I noticed they tried their hardest to shoot her from the waist up, put her in baggy clothing, and almost NEVER shot her head to toe from behind. The few times they did and you could tell her body is shaped like a brick.

Really enjoyed it. Had some issues with a few plot points…

Started watching it last night. Got through three and am fully in. The opening scenes gave very similar vibes to memorable start of The Killer, but stayed gripping past that whereas Fincher kind of fumbled down the stretch and left me slightly disappointed.
If this was 5 years ago and I didn’t have a nearly 2yo and parental responsibilities, I probably would have pulled an all nighter to finish it.

Who was pretty weak IMO, but whatever. I didn't hate her, she just wasn't very credible as some firearms expert and her going out on ops was dumb.
Got a little sloppy down the stretch in my opinion, but still a good watch and I have fairly high standards in this genre. I can't usually watch outlandish espionage/intelligence community stuff and this is arguably that, but I still enjoyed it.

I thought it was very solid.
The one thing that really bugged me was the police sketch they had of him looked nothing like him and everyone was acting like it did. I felt like I was being gaslit.
