Should theaters/movies bring back intermission?

Could use a little break with all these 2.5-3 hour epics. Just 5 minutes. People that don't care have phones to play with.

Yeah cause I hate holding in my piss

For movies over 2 hours, yes, absolutely.

Making the movie experience longer is an odd solution for movies being too long

Movie theaters are becoming the modern day buggy whip. With the price of ticket and concessions people are just as content to wait a month or 2 and watch it at home where you can pause and take as long of a piss as you want.
There was a time when movies were affordable and you didn't mind rolling the dice on a film you didn't know a lot about. I think people are far more selective than they used to be.

I don’t mind the higher prices. Far too often, my movie experience was ruined by other patrons rather than a horrible movie.
While higher prices doesn’t eliminate the possibility, it greatly reduces the potential. Keeps the riff-raff out as they say.

Movies being too long is a problem?
A piss break would be nice, since as it is I just have to miss a few minutes to hit the head.

I honestly don't think they have the staffing for something like that.

Almost no movies need to be over 2.5 hours and most can get the job done in 2.

I do think there should be a break .
Or like there be in-theater voting.
If enough people vote yes to have a stoppage. The movie stops for 5 minutes or whatever then resumes

The AMC has free refills on sodas and popcorn.
In fact, my wife and I preorder a popcorn which comes with a bag. We dump the popcorn in the bag and get an immediate refill. Then we each have our own popcorn. 2 for 1 makes the price more reasonable.
We share the large soda. Its huge. If we did need a refill, you just run to the machine. It takes 30sec.
If there happened to be an intermission, we would just get free refills tbh. Theatre would lose money.

The movie makers could use it to promote their songs for Oscars, like Hollywood used to with overtures and intermissions.

Hateful Eight was probably the last film to have an intermission - I didn't mind it

Came to post this too.
The intermission worked well. Bathroom stop, grabbed a beer, and saw a random friend in the lobby.

They can't stop you from bringing an empty bottle into the theater.

As long as the theater bathrooms are big enough because everyone's gonna hold their piss for the break.
Seeing a movie in Europe in the 90s sucked b/c you couldn't bring food/drink into the theater... Every movie had Intermission no matter how long, to piss, drink, coffee/beer, eat some sweet...the lobby was packed like a sporting event with long bathroom lines.
Never minded sneaking out to catch a quick piss when the bathrooms are empty and you're back in a jiff.
So not a fan of Intermission... Disrupts the movie and everybody is trying to do the same thing at the same time...Concessions/Bathroom...Long lines...you still might miss some of the movie by the time its your turn.
