True. I also noticed when outie Mark was talking to innie Mark he mistakenly called Helly Heleny. Wondering if that was a hint that she’s still outie Helen E. (Heleny) and not innie Helly R. That struck me as weird when he called her the wrong name.
To me it was to show how outie Mark didn’t really care about Mark S. Mark wasn’t going to get reintegrated further if everything worked out. Once Gemma was safe and he was out, he wouldn’t do anything to help his innie.

That ending was like a James Bond title sequence starting.
I really liked the finale. It answered what needed to be answered. Well done.

I think you’re right that outie Mark still doesn’t really give a shite about his innie. Even if he did reintegrate though, I think his innie was probably right about the outcome. Reintegrated Mark should be a lot more Mark Scout than Mark S. That somewhat unanswerable question of “when do you stop being you” is still playing a pretty strong role.
Also, shocker, looks like Mark and Devon didn’t just hop in Cobel’s truck without asking any questions.
That being said… I’m not sure whether I’m just dense or they’re still keeping it secret, but does anyone understand wtf Cold Harbor actually is yet (other than a new persona obviously)?

I think it’s about being able to completely remove deep seated trauma (e.g. loss of her baby preterm). By exposing her to her greatest trigger without any emotional response shows their efforts are a complete success.

I gather that Cold Harbor was a test to see if they could use Severance to remove someone’s most painful memory—the miscarriage in Gemma’s case. Drummond also referenced the removal of pain as a goal at one point in the episode.
The question is why did they have to kill her after it was done. I guess because she was dead on the outside, so they couldn’t have her just return to her normal life. The other question is why they had her play Ms. Casey? It seems like that was a Cobel pet project and could have more to it next season.

Hooooly crap. A lot to unpack there.
I like it from the standpoint of giving us a season 3 but hate seeing him leave her.
A lot of low key funny stuff in that episode. Millchicks performance was phenomenal. Him turning and running as soon as he handed the letter to Dylan g made me chuckle. The bit with him and wax kier/drummond (that had to be Drummond right?) was amazing. Drum major milchick was great. Just all around amazing.

Couldn’t stop thinking about all of the gifs that were going to come from this episode

Did anybody else laugh when Drummond bit the dust?

Drummond could’ve overpowered mark in the dark hallway and got the gun again. Mark is kinda too much of a wuss to kill him outright. Brienne put up a helluva fight though.

So the goat department is raising sacrifices?
Posted on 3/20/25 at 10:36 pm to jlovel7
Seemed like they sacrifice a goat after every mdr completion? I guess for some weird Kier reason. Don’t see how it’s necessary.

Brienne of motherfricking Tarth bringing the can of whoop as to a gun (bolt) fight!

Yeah I gathered that they were testing her reaction to verify that absolutely none of the memory remained. I think the second part (why did they have to kill her?) was really my question. I guess the fact that she’s already supposed to be dead makes sense, but feels like a bit of a lazy out to me.
It just seems like there’s something.. more.. to their plans for her. I mean sure, they managed to completely suppress her most painful memory. But why was this such a breakthrough? How is that going to “change the world?” What’s the point of it all?
Part of me thinks it would be pretty funny if after all is said and done, it turns out that they’re just trying to sell the next big PTSD treatment and there’s no sinister motive or big secret. Like.. the Eagans aren’t hiding anything, they’re just fricking weird and rich. I don’t know why but that thought cracks me up.

Mark me down as the marching band was bizarre. I understand they had to create chaos and a show. But good lord the questions the marching band brings about the world of Lumon and severance lol
