Nobody else at Lumon can change Helly to Helena? According to what?

Outstanding ending. It really had so much. Season 3 is going to be insane with this setup. Hopefully not as long of a wait though.

The controls for the Glasgow Block are in the security room on the severed floor. Too big of a risk to block her before Mark completed Cold Harbor in case he noticed. At the point it would be beneficial, Drummond was dead and Milchick was trapped. It could be Jame I guess, but I just don’t see how he would be able to initiate the block and explain to Helena what was happening before Mark made it to the door. He doesn’t some like a spry individual. Helly knew to go there because she knew the plan.

That was a wild episode. It’s so refreshing to see a truly original premise and delivery in a world of sequels and remakes. I loved the twist at the end. However my favorite part was seeing that fat frick devour fecculance.

Agreed.

I’m surprised, but not flabbergasted.

Filled with despair for Omari/Gemma, but happy Gemma is out, happy for iMark and Helly.

So many conflicting emotions, but the main one is satisfaction. The finale not only delivered, but so did the season.

We saw this uprising happening in slow motion more and more emotional pressure was applied to innies, but like boiling frog, we never assumed there would be a full on innie rebellion. What a stage for season 3! This is what happens when innies are treated like people!

To me it was to show how outie Mark didn’t really care about Mark S.

How is he supposed to know anything about him before that moment? The code detectors kept messages from being passed, there was no way to communicate to each other through lumon.

iMark didn’t know Gemma’s name, just she.

I also found the parallel interesting with Helena getting Gemma’s name wrong.

Remember folks - names are powerful and mean a great deal to people!

I’m guessing that the MDR crew + Milchick will be stuck downstairs for the majority of season 3 while Gemma/Devin/Cobel and maybe Irv work to get them out

Milkshake will be so conflicted.

Ticked at Mark for setting this whole thing off, but impressed for killing Drummond.

The man just wanted to lead and dance with the human jukebox.

that look she gave Gemma at the end was evil

This and the scene of her repeating “I’m her” will keep my theories alive while we wait. At first I thought she was saying she was Gemma, as in Mark’s refining was slowly turning her brain into Gemma’s. But I’m not sure the greater purpose that would serve. Now I’m seeing most everyone say that it meant Helly is just reminding Mark that her outie family is psycho and trying to motivate him to do the “right” thing and save Gemma. But if it is truly Helena saying this, that almost seems too on the nose. However I agree that brief look she gave Gemma was quite sinister and more people need to be acknowledging this!!

Also Drum Major Milchick was hittin’ that ish. Thoroughly enjoyed the bizarreness of that because they went all out and made it so visually appealing. The Alan parsons project intro had my mouth open in shock lol.

So what is the reason for killing Gemma after cold harbor?

I think we all thought somehow the test was going to be her death. But it was really just to test if she remembered her failed pregnancy. Makes sense. Her most traumatic memory. But she was also wearing the same clothes she wore the night she supposedly died in a car crash.

So I guess why kill her afterwards? Or why did she have to live down there secretly rather than being a typical severed employee? Seems like she had a normal work day like anyone else.

Hopefully these things get answered in season 3 now that Gemma is on the outside (almost).

The show felt like they were heading legitimately for a series finale until the twist ending. I’m definitely interested to see where this goes. I want more deep level Lumon lore.

The biggest question I have is why didn't Lumon hire a few more guys in Security.

With known threats both internal and external and after the other security guy got unalived they still stuck with a one man department.

I'll have to rewatch but I thought she was actually Helly just saying that to try to get Mark to go with his wife. Helly's in love with him but didn't want to be the other woman until Mark definitively chose her.

We also know almost nothing of Lumon (a massive company) upstairs outside of some of the admin functions. Seems like they are stacked with security upstairs right? And that’s their public facing stuff. Why didn’t they come racing downstairs? Unless the severed floor is off limits to basically everyone at Lumon except the like 5 administrators we’ve seen over the course of the show.

Also, what was macro data and the other departments doing before Mark and Gemma came to Lumon?

Irving was there a year before Mark. Who knows how long Petey was there.

That might be the most insane episode of TV since international assassins from the leftovers. And I loved every minute of it

Can someone remind me why it would kill Mark and everyone else if she was let go?

Why wouldn’t Gemma know that was the innie and he wouldn’t know her ?

Also did they ever explain why they would fake Gemma’s death to keep her at Lumen? Wouldn’t a bunch of people have to be involved with that, including the cops and investigators?

I think he meant by “you’ll kill them all” as in you’ll kill all your innies. All 25 of them.
