I’m not saying that we have to. But those “cavemen” survival instincts are ingrained in us through evolution. If some burglar broke into your home and tried to take your family hostage, you would want to absolutely destroy him in order to protect your family. You would want to frick him up for messing with your family.
Another example. Remember in The Walking Dead, when Rick, Carl and Michonne were taken hostage by Joe and the biker group? One of the guys started raping Carl and that made Rick absolutely snap. In an enraged fury, he bit Joe’s throat out like a savage and stabbed the guy who was raping Carl at least 20 times.
That kind of primal instinct is ingrained in fathers when it comes to protecting their families. It’s the same thing with leaders protecting their tribes in the hunter-gathered era.

The first rule about Fight Club is we don't talk about the Fight Club. I have carried that line and philosophy ever since.

What’s the difference, in that context? Same sense of self-absorbed narcissism taking over one’s life.

Honestly, I see a lot of good coming from Gen Z. A lot of pushback against the woke idealogy. Gen Z is still pretty young, so if you want to blame anyone for their political leanings, blame the Gen X and Millinneal teachers grooming Gen Z.

Also, tangentially related to this thread, if you came out of that movie wanting to be more like Tyler Durden, you likely missed the entire point of the whole film.

Gen X is more conservative than Millenials. It’s millenial teachers who are instilling DEI and woke ideology into Gen Z kids.

I hadn't clicked on this post but it kept going on so I figured I'd give it a peak. Not at all what I was expecting it to be about. That read like you think Fight Club is based on a true story

You must really hate me. I’ve never said anything insulting towards you or antagonized you, and yet you’ve mocked me repeatedly on this thread.
Did I say something that offended you? Did I strike a nerve? Because if I didn’t, you wouldn’t have felt the need to shite on my opinion like a jerkoff.

Will do, my guy. In the mean time, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Douchebag.

Nice edit. Really makes you stand out.
Especially when your whole derpity derp contention was getting back to the primal male so eloquently displayed in Fight Club.
Time to restock your tissues and tampons.

You should buy the mod that moved this thread from tOT a beer. If it had stayed on tOT it would have been pure carnage.
