Yea I guess the time travel paradox at the end doesn't make a TON of sense (although you could see it coming that the "other beings" were people from the future).

The intensity of it grabbed me, and so did the grandness of it all. I mean you're sacrificing your relationships with your kids in order to possibly save the world, a small mistake costs you 20+ years and a chance at a return trip home which means death for EVERYONE on earth.
I thought it was well done, intense, exciting, terrifying, and had a satisfying conclusion

Loved it until the black hole part. Then it lost me. I think I'm a few IQ points lower than the intended audience.

And a great, fitting homage to 2001, arguably THE seminal film in science fiction - the one that paved the way for the rest (along with the success of Star Trek in syndication).

I loved it. The ending was a little tough but how else do you end a movie like that??

One of the best SciFi films I've seen in a long time.

I'll just post the docking scene because its one of my favorite scenes in any movie ever and I can watch it over and over

LINK

it loses its power watching on Youtube or at home, but in the theater, when the organs kicked in, holy god

Exactly, although the I thought maybe since time would move so different in the black hole his daughter would've figured something out and come and rescue him before he died or something, which I guess is basically what happened just in a different way

I thought it was very good.

When I read up on everything I didn't understand, I decided it was great.

I loved it. Nolan certainly did his research with this one, because he got in deep with the space-time theories. Unfortunately that was his main flaw, because it takes more than the final 45 minutes to explain something so freaking complex.

yeah, the whole "love is quantifiable as a dimension and trancends space and time" was pretty hard for me to take.

Loved it. It felt original and captured so many great things about the classic science fiction genre.

Many on this board will trash it for various reasons.

Loved it. Watching it in IMAX was one of the most satisfying theater experiences I"ve had the last few years.

Yeah, ... no. It touches on things, but only at superficial levels, to make it seem smarter than it is. It's cherry picking only certain elements of physics, and completely ignoring other parts, which the more you know, the worse it becomes.

It's a lot like Gravity, which also comes off as smart, too; and yet the entire aspsect of Clooney's death is complete nonsense, as it was entirely wrong from a physics point of view.

Was looking forward to it for over a year and I left extremely happy. Saw it twice in theaters and have the DVD

Yeah - it was a movie I was stoked about and it delivered. On par with the finale of Breaking Bad, to put it in M/TV board terms.

How many products can do that (however the minor flaws might be perceived)?

I actually didn't like it. One of the few on this board that fall into that category it seems.
