I believe that Zack Morris died in 1988.

It may sound ridiculous, but there are signs all over the place if you know what to look for. I believe that Zack was in some sort of accident that tragically killed him and as a result he is in an afterlife that is paradise according to his young mind. As an 8th grader his only dream is to be the coolest guy in high school since he hasn’t yet matured enough to worry about more adult life matters.

If this has already been posted, I regret nothing.

I always kind of thought Zack died and went to his version of heaven. Until that fricker Jeff came along.

This makes perfect sense and I have always subscribed to this theory.

I would love to see a miniseries on the death of Zack Morris of Indiana, told in the Twin Peaks style.

I can almost guarantee you that Cokes has pondered this at least once.

Belding's bald spot is a flat circle. The football field smelled like aluminum and ash after the oil spill. It all makes sense.

This is actually the first I've heard of this. But I don't buy it....even if for no other reason that "Saved By the Bell" the show consists of four years: 9th through 12th grades.

GMMB is a show I choose to ignore in SBTB canon. It's in a completely different universe, regardless of if there are some of the same characters.

How can you ignore the Rigmas as a defining moment for Zack Morris?

The writer has strong evidence.

Didn't Zack graduate HS twice, once with Kelly and Jessie, and then had another year at Bayside with the biker wannabe chick Tori? That is a little hard to explain unless it's part of this dead dream.

The tori episodes were inserted into the last season. There was only one graduation.

Meh, I just read the article and still don't buy it. But that's only because, like I said, GMMB and SBTB are completely different things to me. They're not the same show, despite having a few same characters and them being repackaged as the same show (GMMB = SBTB for syndication purposes).

But I'm all about outside the box thinking like this though.

Yeah, but you had the college years to prove he wasn't in heaven...

Speaking of this, remember the rumors that MPG had actually died? IIRC, I believe it was a motorcycle accident or something like that. I remember being sad that he had died, and that was before the internet really, so you couldn't really verify that shite back then. And then I saw him in some Disney movie (White Wolves: A Cry in the Wild 2) and then on the College Years, and then a few years later in Dead Man on Campus and I was like "Okay, cool."

So I took a picture of this while watchig this morning...

I see a lot of people posting his name as Zach, but they're still wrong. It's Zack.

10 points of any if you can name the episode.

I remember this. Pretty sure it was a motorcycle accident. I think I recall hearing that they started the rumor to give him a break from the fans that were constantly all over him. Not sure if that is true though.

Was it the basketball episode where Zack had to have surgery on his knee?
