Didn't see it so unless there were a lot of explosion type deaths, I am not sure how you kill than many people in roughly 90 minutes.

I mean, in Star Wars Grand Moff Tarkin gives the order to blow up Alderaan and that happens on screen. So that's millions/billions of deaths right there.
