I watched the first 3 episodes last night and was impressed

Has the potential to be my favorite Netflix show to come out in many months. From the previews it looked a little "girl power-y" for my tastes, but I was wrong. It's fantastic (so far). It's turned out to be like a dark and maybe a little more sci-fi version of Groundhog Day. Like Groundhog Day meets Black Mirror. Kinda.

She keeps re-living the same day, and can't die. The main character lady is pretty funny and has some decent depth to her. Just in the first 3 episodes it produced several belly laughs from me, which is kind of rare. It also has a really good soundtrack

So anybody else watching this? I didn't see a thread

I've been on the fence about starting this one. I was hoping it wasn't just a Happy Death Day rip off. I'm all about giving it a shot though. Might start it after I'm through with my rewatch of The Sopranos.

I really liked it. Burnt through the entire thing over the weekend

Yeah I'll probably finish the whole thing tonight. I had to resist watching all the episodes last night. They're only 30 minutes, and I was fricking hooked from the get go.

I made it through an episode and a half.

I liked the premise but the characters and dialogue annoyed the living shite out of me.

Watched the whole thing after reading this thread.

It's pretty good.

* Spoilers *

Do they end up in the same reality with each having all the memories?

I didn't think so at first, but the outfits at the very end he has the scarf and shes wearing the white puffy shirt. So I guess somehow they both ended up in one of the ultimate realities living both knowing what they experienced. Maybe I missed the point

I like Natasha Lyonne on Orange is the New Black, so I'm gonna try it just because she is in it. Reviews I see are generally good.

Rotten Tomatoes has 47 reviews. 100% Fresh.

Is she actually Russian, and does she show her rack?

I watched the trailer for it - is it a limited series, or an ongoing thing? It doesn't seem like a premise that could be carried for multiple seasons.

They wrote it both ways but it seems like a good place to leave it imo.

Spoilers

I read They do merge. I thought the final “test” was very clever. They needed to save each other, and not just the version of themselves that had lives 50 lives, but the version they were on the first time.

I'm three episodes in.

The soundtrack is the best part so far.

I really enjoyed "The Forest".

Thought I had it figured out at times, had good writing, cinematography and acting

The dialogue seemed like it was written by a group of horny 13 year old boys.

I couldnt make it past the first half of episode two.

I enjoyed Russian Doll but through the whole 8 episodes I had to keep reminding myself Lyonne wasn't Nicky.

Finished it last night. I really enjoyed it. It picks up a little in the last 2-3 episodes.
