Fun fact, one of the janitors is a Carolina fan.

I can’t remember the exact connection but apparently a Gamecock or someone related to one our players did football movie stunt coordinating. I believe it’s also why the Mud Dogs beat Clemson in the Waterboy, why former Gamecock QB Mike Hold was the QB that got sacked and said “momma loves you too,” and why Williams Brice was an overhead shot for that final bowl game.

I hate notre dame but that movie almost makes me like them.

It also makes me yearn for the days of 80s to 2000s college ball.

It’s the greatest football movie ever made (fiction or not).
Rudy didn’t come up with the Annexation of Puerto Rico.

Rudy also didn’t have Kathy Ireland kicking field goals.

I may be in the minority but I think the Longest Yard remake is pretty great.

If waterboy is your #1 football movie, well, okay.

Can we consider Not Another Teen Movie a football movie?

It does have the wise janitor.

Saw the real Rudy speak once. I was excited to see the man behind the movie. Here’s what I took from his speech:

He played football. Then worked in the mill and quit. Was almost at rock bottom not working and no future. Then a friend convinced him to sell his story. He did and made money. Now he travels and speaks to people.

I’ve never looked at that movie the same.

I will not take this slander against Rudy.

Until Rudy gets to dress out for this thread I will no longer be posting here.
