I tend to agree, but I will say BP was only predicted to hit around $120 domestic during its opening weekend as late as the week prior. Only in the few days before it opened did it become apparent what a monster it was going to be.
Now I will say BP trailer’s looked much better and was marketed much more effectively than CM has been. BP was also very unique among superhero movies, where’s CM is essentially the same old formula with different genitals.

I don't think it will have much of an effect. MCU fanboys will still line up whether they're white or not. It's pre-sales are strong, both domestically and international. 1 billion is pretty much locked.

BP pulled in a shitload of cash with a downgrade in the costume and an ok story and a decent villain (who was still one of Marvel's mainstay arms dealers.)
WW pulled in a shitload of cash while still having to deal with Snyder influence, and injecting a healthy dose of golden age corniness, with a fun ensemble cast.
AM pulled in a shitload of cash while being Aquaman who finally gets to shine outside comic nerds know how great his book is.
So who the frick knows.

First of all, no they don’t. They’ve openly stated they don’t.
Second, BP had a top-5 opening domestic weekend EVER. That’s not a reasonable metric to determine if a movie flops.
