I was fine with the trailers, and I'm sure I'll end up watching the movie at some point. The secret invasion part of the story could be cool and draw into some old Marvel comics storylines.
I think BL's complaints about the make-up of critics was just a cynical attempt to disarm any potential criticisms.

Marvel would be in a hole because they have Endgame already finished, its not like they can recast the role of Captain Marvel. I could see, maybe, a last second reedit to reduce Brie's screen time if she's really bad. But it might be that she just looks wooden in this movie, the Russo brothers might have gotten a top notch performance out of her.

But to me that's lazy marketing. WW was gonna sell product because the movie featured a gorgeous badass doing badass things within a badass backstory. Girls would have loved it no matter what just like they did when the TV show was out.

You are way overthinking this. Isn't End Game going to be Chris Evans' last MCU movie? That's what the line is referencing. It's not a shot at Captain America in any way shape or form to anyone who isn't just courting controversy.
