And yep, this was the last highlight of this country before everything went completely to hell.

Ricky Gervais took a flamethrower to Hollywood during the Golden Globes
Someone could post clips from that daily and I’d never get tired of watching them.

When he called James corden a fat pussy, that was 2020 at its peak

My favorite part is watching Tom Hanks actually get offended like he is some beacon of goodness in the world.

He claims in his monologue that they're just jokes but I suspect he knows there's an element of truth to them - especially the cracks he makes about Harvey Weinstein.

My gut says The Rock but was that a swipe at The Rock or Chris Hemsworth
It's gotta be The Rock. The other 2 are big, and obviously on some sort of juice, but The Rock is way more popular, and large as in "Holy shite, no way in hell can a man that age look like that without thousands of dollars worth of premium grade pharmaceuticals." Hemseorth and Evans can still wear normal looking clothing and look....normal. the Rock always looks like he is over-inflated.

Jonathan Price was the worst up there. You see he was clearly pissed and wanted to strangle Gervais for shitting all over him and his career.

After the age of 18, I doubt there was barely a year that he wasn't on roids.
Miami Hurricanes football, WWE, Action hero. Even Arnold and Sly would tell him, bro slow down, you're big enough.

I’m thinking it may be Affleck, since he’s really, really obviously been on the roids. The roids don’t seem to have changed him at least since the start of his career. Affleck though is clearly mentally influenced by them.

Also, actors vs athletes

Let’s just say there is some circumstantial evidence supporting Rock’s use besides time in WWE.
At one point he had gynomastea (bitch tits) removed during his WWE run and that is typically associated with steroid use.

The DiCaprio date joke is sneekily one of the best award show jokes of all time. It's just so well crafted.
Leo's reaction was also exactly how it should be. I actually gained some respect for him for how he took it.

I figured Hanks impression to be more like “he ain’t lying. That’s a hard truth”

Yeah I read it the same way

Haven't seen that monologue before. That was great.
By far the best part though is the last 30 seconds when he rips them all for being the hypocrite, phonies that they are.

It's the last time, who cares? Apple roared into the TV game with The Morning Show, a superb drama about the importance of dignity and doing the right thing, made by a company that runs sweatshops in China. Well, you say you're woke but the companies you work for in China — unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney. If ISIS started a streaming service you'd call your agent, wouldn't you?
So if you do win an award tonight, don't use it as a platform to make a political speech. You're in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.
So if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent, and your God and frick off, OK? It's already three hours long. Right, let's do the first award.

Was he told 2020 was going to be the last time he did it, or did he say that because he knew they wouldn't ask him back.
