Gad is hilarious in "Love & Other Drugs"

Rather see a little shop of horrors reboot.

When was this ever happening? During the golden age of Hollywood almost everything was an adaptation of a book or stage play. When was this mythical time that all the best stuff was original?
Let me rephrase...not a remake of an earlier version of the same movie, thought that was kind of obvious in a thread about a "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" remake

Well it's not a remake. It's a sequel TV series.
TV series based off movies aren't a new thing either be it a full on continuation or adaption/remake.
MASH, Highlander, Alien Nation, Starman, Young Indiana Jones, Bad News Bears, Harry and the Hendersons, The Dead Zone... This isn't even the first Honey I Shrunk the Kids live action TV series.

What's wrong with Josh Gad? He is solid as Olaf and in Book of Mormon. Is it the fact that he was a gay LeFou in Beauty and the Beast? Because, come on, LeFou was always gay.

I’d prefer if he at least makes a minor appearance in Ghostbusters Afterlife

Does this mean he’s finally done at Bama?

I really wanted to like 1600 Penn but before the pilot was even done I was completely tired of Gad's character and pretty much swore off anything with his hands on it from then on.

I would imagine this would be more of a glorified cameo type role. Show up for a few minutes of screen time, collect a very fat paycheck, and then go back to retirement.
He has, by all accounts, really enjoyed not working in Hollywood. I doubt if he comes back it will be to carry a full length feature film on his back.
I say more power to him. He's rich off his behind. He's enjoying life. If he wants to pick up some pocket change in exchange of a limited work schedule mazel tov.

According to Deadline, it's a done deal.

You would. Apparently he doesn’t feel the same way.
I feel the same way all of you do and hope he’ll make an appearance in GB.

Honey, I Rebooted the Franchise?
(ETA: I thought he was retired and that's why he didn't participate in the Stranger Things/Ghostbusters mashup?)

Is it a reboot if they're continuing the storyline?

The term usual refers to restarting a franchise by changing the origin with new actors or events. But it can also refer to refreshing a series by adding new elements to it.
