He was found not guilty, not innocent. There is a small, if not significant, difference.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by all the thinly veiled racist comments in this thread. The fact is, the case should never have gone to trial, especially for murder. Both parties involved contributed to the final outcome, and sadly the dead one that wasn't carrying a gun is the one labeled the "thug" by so many.

Because of his long history of violence and theft. What a travesty.

A one sided mini series to show what really happened.

Isn't that what happened with OJ Simpson?

Wait, do you think OJ is/was innocent?

First of all, learn fricking English. Second, YES HE DID. You're fricking lying if you claim he didn't do any of those things. It was proven in court.

I said go read the case files, not tell me you read them while proving that you didn't.

It's going to present him as the person he was according to the last person that spoke to him right?

The girlfriend that under oath said Trayvon had evaded the queer guy following him and made it home. And was going to go back and attack the guy for being gay and following him instead of calling the cops and reporting a suspicious perso?

Zimmerman provoked the whole thing. He was armed and had no business following the guy who you admit was on his way home. Martin was breaking any laws and if he was duchess Zimmerman should have called the police. Zimmerman was an adult and this looks like he was bullying some kid and had the tables turned on him.

Sounds like you're saying physical assault is justified as long as some creepy dude is following you.

I mean did I read things wrong and Zimmerman just pulled his gun on him and blow him away for being on the wrong street or something?

Precious could be the real, overlooked culprit. I'd be willing to bet almost anything that if we listened to a recording of her call with Trayvon, we'd hear her tell him something along the lines of "go kick his arse."

We'll never know. What we do know is that right after he got off the phone with her, he ran 100 yards to the T in the street where Zimmerman's car was and attacked him.

the really interesting aspect of this case is how the media went full on manipulation/propaganda that was taken to its possible extreme a year later with Michael Brown.

i mean just think about a few of these things

1. the presentation of the parties.

the media fricking lightened GZ's skin to make him less ethnic (even though he was latino) while at the same time, they used 4-5 year old pictures of trayvon as a child to create empathetic responses (and mask the more masculine traits of a young adult, black male)

2. the presentation of the attack/shooting

two people were acting slightly in the wrong but mostly in the right but came off as weird to the other. one called the police and one physically attacked the other. who did the media paint as the "vigilante"? the guy who called the cops. who did the media paint as the innocent party affected by violence? the guy who, unprovoked, attacked the other (rather violently)

these manipulations still taint the memories of people to this day. it's a "white person shooting a black kid" and you see the "vigilante" inversion in this very thread. THAT shite is interesting and the real takeaway story. however, what we're left with is the lowest-level of biased race baiting. it's nearly worthless these days

If nothing else, this thread proves what people posted on page one. This movie is definitely going to whip up racial animus.

Trayvon should have called the police. or, at the least, gone to an adult parent to have them deal with the situation. what did he do instead? use violence

That whole trial was amazing to watch. O'Mara was a boss and that judge hated the shite out of Don West too

The thread was equally as great too

Looks like a certain subset of sheep that is easily intimidated and has a history of trying to use numbers to get their way. They are cowards and perhaps that is why they have such an affinity for people who shoot unarmed people.

Wait, i count at least 2 maybe 3 sheep in your little diatribe. Can you go over the characters in your little expose again? How many sheep?

No, it's worth something. It's worth creating a ton of resentment toward the media, progressives, and blacks. This is people who had none of these feelings prior to the continued vilification of an entire race by a very small segment of the population.

The media worked with the Obama admin. to craft the racial wedge narrative. I'm sure it would have continued under Hillary, but it has stopped abruptly under Trump.

As have college racism hoax protests, safe spaces, trigger warnings, etc. I know it sounds lazy to just say "Obama" but it has become pretty clear.

What long history of violence & theft? Guy was 16. All he had was a *long* history of doing was stupid kid stuff.

Zimmerman was a 30 year old coward who had plenty of opportunities to defuse the situation or leave. Instead you would have me believe the complete sophistry that Martin once home decided for no known reason- other than being a career thug in your words- to attack poor defenseless Zimmerman.

Zimmerman couldn't "handle his bidness". Like most 21st century baws he's avoided physical contact all his life and couldn't take an asswhipping. So he pops out a gun he bought-so he could feel more like a man- and shot somebody like a dog.

You approve of this. But all that tells me is that you and the rest or your thug baws are cowards. You wet your pants around anyone of African descent. I'm surprised that you gun toting baws do not shoot your own shadows since they are black. The color at center of this matter is yellow- the color of Zimmerman and those that defend his actions.

I watched a ton of this trial. O’Mara was masterful.

This was such an odd trial though. Mark was almost fighting for George being innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt, while the defense was arguing that there was reasonable doubt. It was a complete flip flop of how our justice system should work. No way this trial should of ever made it to court.

Also Old Trayvon didn’t have Arizona tea. He had Arizona watermelon drink.

This one.

And he had weed in his system too.

The sad thing is that you probably really do consider his actions to be "kid stuff."

zimmerman is a dickbag. That has nothing to do with his legal right to defend himself.

Zimmerman couldn't "handle his bidness"
So, Zimmerman's problem is that he couldn't fight good enough? Are you seriously that much of a cave troll?

Trayvon had gotten all the way home, turned around and ran 100 yards like a stupid little impulsive punk looking for trouble. He found it.

I don't give a shite if either one of them lives or dies. I care about evil people using this stupid incident to weave their own false propaganda and drive the minds of dumbasses like a herd of livestock.
