Grace Randolph from Beyond the Trailer has a video up talking about the future of Star Wars. Apparently they're waiting for Kennedy's contract to be up in 2021 before going forward, but the woman is essentially done as a creative force at Lucasfilm. Disney no longer listens to her. Once she's out and someone has been hired to replace her, Disney and Lucasfilm plan on setting up an MCU-style Star Wars universe that is set in between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy.

While I can't stand this woman at times, her sources are generally pretty reliable. I think she knows what she is talking about in regards to this subject.

fricking A.

They already partially destroyed their universe but it isn't too late to start over again with the success of Mandalorian.

But they have to get it right. Any more missteps and its done.

Favreau or Filoni

I do not understand this part at ALL.

Set it up after the events that have happened, UNLESS...

You are planning on dumping these sequels and starting over.

I say you did more than partially damage when your latest trilogy rendered all that came before it pointless. They'd be best to call that trilogy the gas leak trilogy and pretend it didn't happen

why not? They remake comic movies all the time. Just dump the last two movies and start fresh.

Bring in one of Favreau, Feige, or Filoni that you have in house that has shown they can do the job and call it a day.

It’s amazing how they refuse to move away from the tiny scope of the sky walker shite when it’s such a huge universe to build with.

I seriously don’t get it. The civilizations in SW have been space fairing for several thousands of years according to their own writing/lore. Yet all the movies and shows (as good as some of them are) are focused on the same timeline.

That's your right but she outscooped the trades bigly in regards to the Snyder Cut. She was the only one for the longest time who was saying there was something to it. It took almost two years for the trades to even acknowledge that such a cut existed in one form or another.

No, there were plenty of others.

She's fine for what she does. But like all those Movie bloggers, she can be wrong a lot.

I'm not saying she was the lone voice in the wilderness. I'm simply saying there were quite a few trades like Variety and Hollywood Reporter who thought any talk of a Snyder Cut was asinine. And the fact that none of the trades have been white knighting for Kathleen Kennedy tells me that it's pretty much a sure thing she's gone next year. Notice in the latest round table discussion they had with the creators she didn't say a damn word and, if she did, those words were edited out. No one cares what she has to say about Star Wars anymore. She's a dead woman walking.

Yes, I think everyone agrees with that. Just like I'm almost certain we'll never see a Rian Johnson trilogy.

Her review for Jojo Rabbit is the worst review I’ve ever seen. It completely missed the point of the movie. It’s as if she just heard of the movie in passing and decided to shite all over it solely due to painting a member of Hitler Youth and the Youth Leader sympathetically.

Why?

Just move away from it and reshape the EU into something unique.
