One of my kids went through school with someone that was on a moderately popular reality show.

It’s weird seeing someone who you know in that situation.

Would not recommend it to anyone I care for.

One of the episodes featured a married couple from here in Arizona trying to get rid of some javelina and a rattlesnake. The animal control guy who helped out (actually his profession, see pic below) is a good friend from my hometown in Wisconsin and the husband was also from there and he and his wife were also very good friends with the animal control guy. It was presented that none of the people even knew each other but it was all fake.

Bret Michaels is a Scottsdale resident and said the dating show he was on years ago was not only fake but he was actually in a relationship the whole time (it's been some time but if IIRC he said he was married at the time). It was all staged.

I was invited to appear on Judge Mathis. They offered me airfare, lodging, and $200. Wasn’t nearly enough to appear in that circus.

Whether or not this is true, has nothing to do with the show .

I googled and the only thing that showed up was a 2017 lawsuit. There was nothing about liens. Some of their stuff was in Waco, and I searched the McClennan County Clerk's records and there were no liens against either one individually.

HGTV settled ALL lawsuits against them. It was a massive gold mine for the network. Their store downtown is hilarious. They literally employ 5 full time employees who job it is to remove the “made in China” stickers and put “magnolia” stickers on every item so all the idiots from around the country will pay $50 for candlestick holders Jojo bought for $1

I watched the episodes that person was on and haven’t seen any others, before or after.

Not my thing.

I worked with someone from one of the first 3 seasons of Survivor. She was told to try and seduce a fellow contestant. She refused as she was engaged. She got voted off the next day. The show portrayed as a single female looking to use her sexuality in game. She was/is a total stick in the mud (very religious).

It is obviously staged but still mindlessly hilarious especially when they get a Texas or Alabama boy over there with European girls (the crew).

I met Shep and Austin from Southern Charm at Nemacolin Woodlands here in PA. They weren’t shooting or anything but I think the resort brought them in to play golf and whatnot. They were cool and down to earth, we talked college football and golf for a few minutes.

Worked on a few Street Outlaw shoots. The racing is real but they play up a ton of shite for the cameras and sometimes you make a couple passes to get extra or more dramatic footage. Rumor is they tried to manipulate the outcomes and got told to frick off.

We put our home up for sale 3 years ago in BR. Our agent called us soon after and said that House Hunters had contacted her regarding our home. I initially said no but decided to return the call out of courtesy. During that call, we learned that it’s all a “made for tv” experience. I quickly changed my initial no to a hell no…

My wife and I have been Street Outlaws junkies since it started. It would have been disappointing finding out the races are rigged.
