Maybe if an in-her-prime Pam Grier was going reverse cowgirl on me in a public theatre while I watched the movie....now maybe we're onto something. But unfortunately that didn't happen for me.

Pulp Fiction
Inglorious Basterds
Jackie Brown
Reservoir Dogs
Django
Kill Bill

Never seen Death Proof.

Wow that was difficult. Pulp Fiction & IB easy for me, the rest are all moving targets except for Kill Bill, just not a big fan of KB.

Carson, I trust your judgement on movies more than most; would you really pin Django below Basterds and Jackie Brown?

I haven't seen it yet and from everything I am hearing from friends, it sounds incredible.

But, I do have an objective look at films when they come out, though - particularly, because people have short memories when assessing what they watched and contrasting it from past movies; hence, the shortened memory can lead to a heightened and sometimes false sense of superiority with regard to the movie they just watched.

My point is, I know Django is well-worth watching, but what about it (I don't mind spoilers) has you ranking it so low on the totem pole?

My list, after 1 viewing of Django:

Inglorious Basterds
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 2
Django Unchained
Kill Bill 1
Jackie Brown
Death Proof (haven't seen it)

Django was good, but I love those other movies too much to rank it ahead of them. . . at least for now.

Definitely below Basterds. Definitely not below Jackie Brown. For me.

I don't get all the love for Jackie Brown.

It was a good movie but not great and I've seen it about 4 times.

My list

1. Pulp Fiction
1. Inglourios Basterds
1. Reservoir Dogs
4. Kill Bill(s)
5. Django Unchained
6. Jackie Brown

If you're going to throw this one in there, you might as well add Natural Born Killers.

Anyone who doesn't have pulp fiction at number 1 loses all credibility

The others are good but pulp is a masterpiece

I think the fact that many people are putting Django in their top 3-4 is a strong case for how awesome it is. Considering most of us have seen all these other movies 5 times or more and Django only once. Imagine the rep Django is going to have in 10 years
