Part 5 comes out tonight. The preview makes it out to be in an interview format.

I’m not sure I’m interested in a part 5. It sort of feels like they just threw this together haphazardly because the series had some interest/success. So unless I hear good things about it, I’m not really interested in another episode that doesn’t even follow the format of the previous ones.

a part 5

It’s pretty ridiculous, and doesn’t do much to advance the story. Black actress crying racism because she’s getting spit on by the star (as part of the sketch), and producer says ‘Get over it- she’s the star’

Do black people really count the black people on a set when they get there?

Thanks for being the guinea pig. I think I’ll skip out on part 5.

Part 5 is to point out the obvious racism. There should be more black people in the shows than whites- otherwise racism.

These two black actors are angry because their careers never went anywhere. The girl's main complaint was they told her she was so funny it was hard to find a way to showcase her- sounds like a nice way of telling a child that she was more of a secondary player. Her main complaint with Dan Schneider is that she was intimidated by him because he could make people's careers. He didn't specifically do anything to her but she was inimidated.

Dan might have been terrible but these accusations are pretty tame.

When their parents teach them to, they do.

And then they can cry evermore about how raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacism persists across generations.

I kept waiting on some huge bombshell revelation about Schneider, which never came. Since they seemed to center the whole series around him.

This could have easily been a 3 episode show. They draw things out way too much IMO.

A lot of the interviewees in the series had absolutely nothing to say, but they framed it like they were revealing huge secrets.

Just a bunch of actors.lioiing for someone else to blame. Throw in the typical leftist reporter to find sexual innuendo in any spot they could. Basically, they rode the coat tails of 3 pedos and an I dusty that isn't great for kids

The sour grapes among the two black kids was visible from space. They seemed pissed that they never had Amanda Bynes' or Keenan Thompson's careers, yet by their own admissions they never tried to look elsewhere to stay in the acting game after Nick. The early 2000s had DOZENS of spots for them to land, were the talent truly there. UPN, WB, Fox, Disney, etc.

I almost expected one of them to say that Peck or one of the other convicted molesters was racist for never hitting on them. Never once did one of them consider that the answer to their prayers was to be removed from the situation and out of harm's way.

The two dweebs from Boy Meets World trying to rewrite history on their podcast by spinning the story of their support for Brian Peck now that they were called out on something they never thought would go public is the most Hollywood thing I'll see all week.

Link, or just more details in general? What did they do or how did they try to spin it?

Basically 'When I found out how terrible this guy was, I realized I was on the wrong side of the courtroom.'

But they didn't do anything in the moment or shortly after to try and vindicate themselves...just like the rest of Hollywood that wrote letters in support of the child molester.

It was in E5. I didn't see the whole thing - just what was excerpted in that follow-up episode.

It was the typical, revisionist, "looking back on it, we don't know what we were thinking, sitting there in the courtroom in Brian Peck's defense. Through the lens of today, we understand that it was a bad look, etc." It was the pedo defender/enabler version of the same drivel that Schneider is trying to pump out as he spins putting preteens in clearly sexual situations that were said to be "kids jokes", yet none of the kids on set got the "joke" nor thought it was funny.

Schneider is trying to hide behind a chain of command within Nick/Viacom, saying in various places that "there's a whole host of people on both coasts who signed off on these jokes/situations, etc." instead of owning up to being a creep. Either you're DAN SCHNEIDER - RULER OF KIDS' TELEVISION, or you're just middle management doing what others have told you to do. It can't be both.

Correct. One of the Boy Meets World guys even worked with Drake Bell on an animated Spider-Man project after all this, and he never addressed the situation with Bell.

All I’m going to say is this: If Schneider is merely just a fricking a-hole as this documentary shows, he would still be working at Nickelodeon. Schneider is far from the first huge a-hole and sexist that was hired in Hollywood. All they would do is hire another producer to keep Schneider’s worst impulses in check.

The guy was a fricking piggy bank for Viacom and Paramount and probably one of the most successful producers in the history of Hollywood. Schneider knew what kids wanted before they even knew what they wanted. As much of a monster as he is, he was a brilliant producer (as was Harvey). They’re not going to let him go lightly because you quite frankly can’t replace him. And Nickelodeon has gone completely down the toilet quality and ratings wise without him.

Jeanette McCurdy has already come out and basically said he did it, Amanda Bynes being a complete dumpster fire of a human speaks for itself, and pedophiles surround themselves with other pedophiles for protection. Yes Schneider is a HETEROSEXUAL pedophile (never heard of a single allegation of him doing stuff to boys), and that’s why he probably showed up to Drake’s side to knock off any suspicions that he may be fricking around with the girl talent and there was no coming back for Brian Peck after what he did (not to mention he was pen pals with John Wayne Gacy, which is about as big of a red flag as I can think of).

They just don’t have enough on Schneider not to get sued into an oblivion over the rumors and speculations like they have with some of the other pedophiles at Nickelodeon. There’s still so much fricking smoke around this man that this is not the main fire that this documentary has uncovered.

Late to the thread... Watched last week.

Dan's a weirdo creep, but are there any credible allegations of rape against him? Seems like someone would have come out by now. And interesting for Drake to say he was the only one that reached out to him after the trial to ask if he was ok.

Seems like the support staff were the pedos and the ones everyone should be focusing in on.

Couldn't get past first 10m of last episode. Felt like families coming out of the weeds for a money grab and some screen time.

Here’s the difference between say Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby with Dan Schneider: Dan had bosses who had to have known what he was up to. This documentary they’re comfortable with since Dan is the fall guy here and no one above him in the hierarchy is presented.

The rumors are he’s a Jerry Sandusky level of a pedophile and that a lot of people are culpable for this. Harvey and Cosby were largely on their own, so while everyone in Hollywood knew what they were up to, they’re not legally liable for it. Those were the only two people who fell.

If Schneider is guilty of even a quarter of the shite that’s been rumored about him, it could take down all of Paramount and Viacom. That’s how serious the allegations are against him, and this documentary tries to tie this up into a nice little bow just saying that Dan’s a sexist foot fetish a-hole who hired some bad people when it’s bigger than that. Dan’s boss and his boss’ boss knew what he was doing, so they’re legal accomplices of his in this shite.
