This is probably a stupid question, but I didn't see it addressed anywhere in the thread.
This Brian Peck guy that raped Drake Bell, any relation to Josh Peck, Drake's costar on Drake and Josh?
ETA: I thought I read somewhere that Josh Peck basically threatened to beat the shite out of Bell at some point during all the proceedings.

I might have this completely wrong, but I saw a video of Josh talking some shite. There was a voiceover talking about his relationship to Bell and the bullshite that was happening at the time. Looking back, I guess it could be fake. I will try to find it and post it.

Yeah, Drake Bell's mom is solely responsible for what happened to him, IMO. Hid dad specifically told her to keep Drake away from Peck, and she totally dropped the ball.

There was zero insinuation that Schneider wronged kids in any way other than maybe filming scenes for his shows that could be interpreted as inuendo. Honestly it seemed like he was mostly good to the kids and he was more of a monster to his writers.

Honest question - have you ever followed any of the Dan Schneider saga prior to seeing this documentary?
I ask because I've been keeping up with this story for the better part of 15 years, and deep dives into the various facets since 2017.

I understand the point you’re trying to make, but Jeffrey Epstein isn’t the best example to use since he statutorily raped lots and lots of girls.

At the VERY least; Schneider is 10000% a fetish riddled pedo AND sexual harasser (the split fenale writers salaries, the massages, the verbal abuse, etc.).
You cannot view all of the sexual innuendo & sexualization of the child actors over the 2+ decades then present a straight-faced argument that he isn't some level of a pedo, be it just mentally or if he actually acted upon it. The scenes he put Ariana Grande in alone should result in him being beaten like Nicky & buried alive in a cornfield like in Casino.
I hope this doc is a big domino that allows the likes of Jamie Lynn Spears, Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy, Amanda Cosgrove, & the rest of garner the strength to admit what Schneider did to them & allowed others the access to do.

If he did something to McCurdy I'm feel sure she would have had the courage to put it in her book (which is excellent by the way).

Folks get emboldened over time as the burden of what they've experienced weighs on them. Drake Bell initially attacked McCurdy when her book was released and he was defending Schneider in his interviews.
Lots of kids had interactions with Peck and probably would've defended him in a similar fashion, but that wasn't Drakes experience, was it?
There are other young women who have absolutely suffered at Schneider's hand. He's just enjoying the benefit of the doubt from an industry where he was the most powerful player in kids TV for almost 2 decades. Look how long it took before Weinstein came under serious scrutiny, and Ray Charles can see that there's fifty pervs in HW who rose up to take his place.
