Apparently people are too snobby for this. Can't just enjoy the movie for what it is.

A shitty movie? No I cannot enjoy this movie. It was a confusing, lifeless mess that tried to do way too many things at once. It lacks any form of a coherent plot. It's full of forgettable characters who do NOTHING that makes sense throughout the entire film. Literally nothing. Their only job in the film is to rush to the next plot point because frick you that's why. There was only one actor playing a robot but everybody else might as well have been a robot as well.

"Robot tries to poison douchebag mcfratbro. We won't explain any of this to you though."
"Main character girl births a squid baby. Anybody care what happened or why? Nope okay moving on."

"Hey robot we just survived this whole mess against all odds. Lets quickly decide to get in this ancient ship full of toxic goo that makes me birth squid babies with no food or water and look for an alien homeworld rather than going back to earth and helping move humanity forward with this technology. Surely nothing could go wrong. I mean it's not like the last alien we met just ripped your head off." "Aight."
It was awful and for a movie that hyped itself up to be an intellectual masterpiece, it was the farthest thing from it.

the black goo melted his mask and entered his body thus making him a zombie. I thought it was explained when they found his mask all messed up in the room full of the black goo.

she was pissed about everything that had happened plus she saw in the ship that the engineers planned to destroy earth and I guess recolonize the earth she decided to go to where the ship came from and stop them from their home world.

I figured it had something to do with the xenophile species since all you ever saw was pictures of them and that was what the engineers were trying to keep locked up and were running from.
I will watch the 2nd one and I can say that the 2nd and 3rd time watching prometheus I saw and understood more than the first time I viewed the film.

Not only that, but this will be a sequel to Prometheus, but won't actually be about Prometheus. It will be it's own movie, but not really it's own movie. But yeah, it's a sequel, but not to Prometheus, it's actually a sequel to Alien. But it isn't a sequel either, it just happens in the same universe, but....
