Some people will dislike the stylized Euphorication of the material, but should be good as long as they don't get too "out there" with the facts. The "inspired by a true story" tagline probably means they've taken some pretty big creative leaps. I'll definitely watch it regardless.

That's not the interpretation I got from the trailer. Seems like it's demonizing predators while also showing that Hansen got a little out of his depth during the case that ended the show. The one where an ADA killed himself before police could bring him to justice.
Tough to tell for sure from a trailer though, I'd have to watch the movie before saying anything with certainty

I am laughing my arse off at the uniformed cop loading up a Desert Eagle.
Who makes that ridiculous choice? Every cop in the world carries a Glock. They don't even make a police holster for a Desert Eagle and yet that's what they pick? I am always amazed at the weird choices that get made for movies.
It may seem insignificant but it takes you out of the movie. It would be similar to him going out to the parking lot and getting into a police marked Ferrari and going on patrol.

I can’t understand why this movie was made. Hansen and his assistants have all come out and said the behavior depicted in this film is all fake. So they took his story and tried to make him out to be an egotistical shitbag? One has to wonder what the true motives are.
