I aw the magnum preview the other day. It looked like the budget was about on par with the SyFy Flash Gordon adaptation. Fortunately, they decided to make Magnum a "native Hawiian," in a shrewd pandering to the US's smallest racial demographic.

The Neighborhood also sound like a real treat.

He's not even that old.

He's not old enough for it to be that weird.

bump

here are the shows that are currently looking iffy:

a million little things
magnum pi
i feel bad
rel

its still early enought for a million little things and magnum pi to improve and get another season. its looking like the race is truly between i feel bad and rel

on the flipside, manifest seems to be doing the best the first month or so out of the gate with new amsterdam as a close second. so NBC may go down with i feel bad but it looks like its got the two biggest winners of the fall with manifest and new amsterdam

I feel bad is pretty funny. Not a home run, but solid.

I Feel Bad has no real selling point or hook to it. It's a meh looking sitcom with Indian stunt casting. No names to draw in a curious crowd either.

If Manifest can do well in what is quite honestly a terrible time slot for a new show, I wonder how well it will do if NBC sides up and moves it to Tuesday or Thursday in the spring.

agreed and I think it's a show that will grow no matter where it is as they start to actually do something with the show. Cause its been very meh but people like the premise

Rel deserves to get the axe. It’s horrible.

I watched the rookie tonight and I liked it. I’ll stick with it .
Big fan of new Amsterdam as well . Million little things has potential , hope they at least let it go for the full season before pulling the plug

Both of these are truly awful. So if that new show with Damon Wayne Jr.

On the flip side, I love Neighbors. It feels like a flipped version of All in The Family, with some Bug Bang cheese added in.

Manifest is the only show I would consider watching of all those corny lowbrow shows the networks are putting out. And I still haven't made time to watch one second of it.

God Friended Me - Sept. 30, From Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt’s shared resume as writer-producers — “Gotham,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “CSI: NY” — you wouldn’t expect them to create a feel-good fantasy-mystery about an atheist podcaster who starts getting friend requests from God. (Does God check in from heaven? So many questions.) But here it is, starring Brandon Micheal Hall of “The Mayor” and blessed with Joe Morton as the unbeliever’s pastor father.

This is a much better show than it deserves to be for such a terrible concept. I still think it has a limited lifepan, but i like the cast and the show hits the emotional notes very well. They just need to drop the main charcacter's freind's relationship storyline. Everytime they focus on that it's just cringe city.
