I could never get into Breaking Bad. I tried for multiple seasons but just gave it up.

Wow I came looking to see if someone else would put BB first. Fourth page.

I just hated everyone and wanted every character to get shot. Like no one is worthy of the effort to get invested in. They are all literally shitty people. Everyone.

I kinda get the friends Seinfeld hate. I think comedy sitcoms are generational. I love both. But I never got the office or HIMYM or BBT. There are shows that just appeal to a time and place of people. And you had to be there to “get” it.
And there are dramas that you had to watch unfold week to week to get as well. ER Lost and GOT are like that. I can’t imagine what it would be like to binge GOT and not have anyone to talk to it about or they would ruin it for you.

I didn't hate it but I definitely didn't get all of the hype around it and also hated all of the characters.

Good Call on HIMYM. I gave up on it early on because the main character was such a douchebag.

I like BB but I agree with these takes - it's a miserable show because of the setting and characters and it can be a slog

Friends.

The humor was just basic white girl humor that never did much for me. Phoebe was the only one that made me laugh.

Nope. I didn't hate it, and certainly saw its appeal, but I found it pretty boring.

Like quite a few others I have to go with "Friends ". The old lady liked it but it grated on my nerves. Jennifer Aniston wasn't hard on the eyes though, at least it had that going for it.

Friends and The Office. Neither show is the least bit funny to me. I don't like the canned safe humor of friends, and I'm not a fan of the 2000's cringe/awkward humor of The Office.

In the world of anime, I can't stand Naruto. It's so slow, and most of the characters, especially the title character, are so aggravating and annoying that I can't get through the dozens of early episodes to get to "the good ones".

M*A*S*H

Growing up in the 1970s, that damn show was so freaking popular; at one point it was on in regular broadcast and reruns were shown after the 10 PM news (this was a common thing nationwide).

I couldn't (and still can't) stand it. First of all, you had the pre-woke, in-your-face liberalism of Alan Alda/Hawkeye pervading the show; I could see through that baloney even as a pre-teen and teen. The comedy was lame, and some of the characters were cartoonish (Frank Burns, Klinger).

The constant laugh track of those lame jokes and quips-- yecch. To me, the mix of comedy and moralizing drama were also a bizarre, uneven mix.

The fact that it was supposed to be "period" (Korean War) and barely tried to look like it (seriously-- like Hawyeye would have hair that long in the military in 1951/52) was a turn-off.

Despised it then, despised it still.

Lost was one of the dumbest shows to ever run on television.

This is exactly how I viewed that show as a kid in the 70s/80s. I'll never understand why it was so popular.

Came in here to post this (Big Bang Theory) and agree with Friends.

Pretty much everything on network shows are awful.

Well you had ABC, NBC and CBS and PBS with the Rabbit Ears.

You had:

Three's Company
Brady Bunch
Happy Days
Laverne and Shirley (that decade's Two Broke Girls)

So, MASH seemed high-brow and they tried to tackle issues albeit often in a ham-fisted way.

In the early 70's All In the Family was the #1 show for about 4-5 years. With a whopping 33% TV rating on CBS.

Then in 1976 the Top shows were:

1. Happy Days
2. Laverne & Shirley
3. ABC Monday Night Movie
4. MASH
5. Charlie's Angels

MASH was never the #1 show and reached a peak of #3.

Like today, people were still watching shite like Two Broke Girls.

In 1978: TV ratings

#1 Laverne and Shirley
#2 Three's Company

#7 MASH

Despite the plethora of great TV on Cable, majority of people are still watching crap on CBS.

So MASH was never as huge as we remember. It became more legend because of the Finale being described as the most watched TV show of all-time.

MASH had two-lives...the first life was a great great show.

The second life when Trapper and Blake left and Alda took over the writing and directing was an entirely different show.
